Pro Tip: If you need a quick yes or no answer to a question,  text the person instead of calling them

Chances go up exponentially that you will get a succinct answer in a more timely manner and if that person is unable to answer a phone call immediately,  they can text you back as soon as they can.

  1. Too true, I hardly talk on my phone anymore. Short text is the way. Is it because I can never have a short conversation on a phone without some long small talk? (Or as Joey would say, I could never come up with a short answer.)

Decades from now we will marvel that we used to carry these boxes with us that allowed actual conversation between two people because no one will do it.

  2. I agree here there were history and can tell the importance quicker where the other just shows missed call! Been here before myself! 🙂

  3. Texting is the worst way to communicate. The variety of ways to not answer a text is too easy. Texting is another way to avoid a direct connection.”Hey man, I never saw this.”Or “Uhhh when didja send it man?”.” Or 3 days later “Hey, I just got this.” Or “Can you resend it?” You may as well “send a letter!” Emails too. I love the response “I never got it.” Or it must have been swept into my “Spam Folder.” Here’s one to believe when you’re stoned, ” I meant to flag it and forgot.”
Just pick up the phone and leave the message and for crissakes be brief. Btw why leave your phone number in your message? Every phone has caller ID now and you can return calls w/one click.
