Here below are the details of a really fun and worthwhile event tomorrow night to take place at Alchemy owned by another dear friend Mark McDonough who as you may know does a lot of wonderful things for our community. Mark helped to found the Cape Ann Timebank a few years ago and tomorrow night he will provide the place and the food for the fund-raiser for that organization in which I am a member. This is a worthy cause but even if you don’t know or care about Timebanks, it is a good deal: $7-$10 (sliding scale) includes the food and music by the renowned and beloved band Groove. Come out and have a great time with your neighbors and friends while also helping to support a good cause. See you there!!!!
Cape Ann TimeBank will hold a benefit party and raffle at Alchemy Bistro on Duncan Street in Gloucester on March 20, 2010, featuring the popular local band, Groove. The theme of the event is “Let’s get together and feel alright.” Admission will be on a sliding scale of $7 – 10 and will include a free raffle ticket as well as a free selection of Alchemy Bistro’s foods. Groove performs an upbeat eclectic mix of classic rock and new alternative sounds of ska & reggae with an emphasis on making crowds dance. The fun starts at 9:30 pm and continues until 12:30 am.
