Summertime and the living is complicated. Two gaff rigged mains, two jibs. Why doesn’t she rig two gaff topsails up there so the captain can pitch a real conniption fit?
Just kidding. Beautiful boat. Aren’t they going to run out of harbor before they get all that stuff down?
I used to race when my brother was the owner of the boat the first few FIGAWI races. I get a nervous tick just thinking about being on a sailboat since. Good party out on Nantucket but onboard racing was another story.
I’ve done the flip side of going for the four day sail with the galley full of cases of Gansett tall boys but I look at a boat like that with all the rigging and only imagine somebody has to be yelling at somebody really soon.
But I am changing perspective. Invite me out. I’ll bring the tall boys.
