THE ESSEX HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND SHIPBUILDING MUSEUM presents The Evelina Goulart Symposium – Managing a Ninety-Ton Historical Articfact, a 4-part symposium. The Evelina M. Goulart, a fishing schooner built in at the A.D. Story Shipyard in Essex in 1927, is one of seven remaining Essex-built schooners in existence. Part One: the Evelina M. The CAPE ANN MILITARY FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP would like to invite family members and friends of our men and women serving in the military from Cape Ann to a ” Meet and Greet” evening at the Major Frank Ritvo Veterans’ Center, 12 Emerson Ave., Gloucester on Thursday, March 4, 7-9pm. Local veterans are invited to attend to honor them for their past services and to share their experiences of being a Veteran. The all-day event will take place on Saturday, March 6, 9am-9:30pm at the Cape Ann Museum, Sawyer Free Library, Gloucester Maritime Heritage Center, Cape Ann Art Haven, and Cape Ann Community Cinema.
