Action Inc Community Outreach Award Acceptance Speech From The Heart

See if you can tell the part where I got choked up.  God I’m glad I pulled it together.  The sweet woman who introduced me is Ronna Resnick a regular fan of the blog and super duper good egg.  Thanks Ronna

  1. Cousin Joe, Congratulations on all the work bringing this very informative web site to all of us who appreciate what’s going on in Gloucester!

  2. Great speech. “3/4 of a glass of captain morgan and a dash of diet coke”. I’m going to have to try that the next time I have to speak in front of a crowd.

I get the selfish part too. I carry jumper cables and always have my eye out in parking lots for people with dead batteries. Nothing more fun than giving someone a jump when it is pouring rain and they have a car full of crying kids. My son thought I was a little crazy but I told him he would feel good all day after we did it. Afterwards he agreed.

  3. Hey Uncle Joey, nice speech. Congradulations ! I’m so proud you, or shall I say, so proud to be your niece ! Make sure you keep your awards in a safe place, we wouldn’t want Eloise and Maddie Pie to get their hands on them and turn them into art portfolio’s. LOL!!!! I’ll remember you when I’m Famous,If you remember me when You become even more Famous. Love Amanda

  4. Joey, you ARE infectious! and you have a HUGE heart. For those of us who have chosen to live in Glosta (transplants) it’s everything you said about it. Glosta is: a wonderful town and there are many terrific people (and, yes, even “characters”) in it. It’s like no other place I’ve ever visited or lived in. GMG is a daily dose of showing us all — those born here, and those who chose to live here — what we have to be thankful for. And you, Joey, are in the TOP 10 things we all have to be thankful for!
