Yesterday Gussy Sanfilippo and Billy Edmonds swung by the dock along with Billy’s son Kyle and FOB (friend of the blog) Frank Ciolino’s son Joey.
We took a row around the South Channel, had a quick race on the dories and talked to Gus about predictions for fish prices with the June 1st fishing grounds area opening. The first part of the videos will air this morning at 8AM

This may look like it’s been on Chebacco Lake forever but in fact it was built to look old and rustic for the Adam Sandler film currently being shot in Essex Ma at Chebacco Lake. More photos from the set to come.

There will always be fishing in Gloucester. There will always be men to go fishing. That is our heritage and has been for close to 400 years. It is not, however, Gloucester’s future.
If you were an adult in the late 1940s or 1950s, you witnessed the big show! Sixty years ago, Gloucester’s fishing industry was at its peak. We were the recognized world leader in production of volume fish products. Since the mid-1950s, our dominance in the industry has steadily declined.
