Collectors Item- Stone Soup Cafe Mug

About 4 or 5 years ago you could buy Stone Soup Cafe coffee mugs at Stone Soup in Ipswich. My MIL liked them so much she bought a bunch.

When I dropped by to take pictures I asked if they had a mug handy for me to photograph for the blog but there was nary one to be found in the joint. My guess is that they are such cool mugs that over time one gets clipped here and there and before you know it there are no longer any mugs and the owners decide against putting them out. I hope that’s not the case but the cynic in me tells me that it is.

This Is Not An Illusion

This isn’t a trick with the camera where I would place Madeline two feet in behind these tulips to make them look bigger. These Tulips are freakin ginormous. She looks tiny but is actually in the 75% percentile for height for her age. I’ll have to find out where the Mrs bought them and report back here. I almost remember her saying that she got them at some discount store for next to nothing.

Rosa Rugosa Buds Forming 5/23/08

The buds on the Rosa Rugosa are forming and it won’t be long now before these beautiful bushes will be in full bloom all along our coast.  Last June 22 I took some pictures of these bushes at Good Harbor Beach and they were full of fragrant blossoms.

Perkins Marine 4:40AM 5/23/08

This picture was taken on Friday of Memorial day weekend. Still some boat slips not filled. It will be interesting to see by next Tuesday how many of these boat slips will be filled. Memorial Day is usually when people start to put their boats in for the season.
