We’re having a guitar extravaganza this Thursday. I’m calling’ in the big guns for a battle plan.
First, We got the commodious Mr. Steve Sadler and his willfully meandering slide catarrh in the top spot. He sings, he plays anything;  he does it all.

On the other side, there’s Mr. Jim Scoppa, guitarist non pareil,  with his gas-fired style and smoking amplifier. Mr. Andrew “Pops” Jones will be freaking out on the drums. I’ll be in the middle with a bunch of new toons to torture you with. Ask your doctor if The Rhumb Line is right for you!

The bases are loaded this Thursday as I Welcome Ms. Toni Lynn Washington to the Rhumb Line stage. A veritable living legend in the Boston area, Ms. T is sure to have your Adam’s apple bobbing with delight. I know she’ll hit it out of the park, too, with such luminaries as Mr. Mike DiBari, the mentalist of the blues, on catarrh, and Mr. Steve Bankuti,the drummer whose line is always busy!
It’s her first time here in town, so come early and stay late! You’ll be quizzed on this next week!

Nobody has to cross the bridge this week as I ask several Rockportoricans to carefully drive home drunk after an emancipating evening of heavenly swinging back door blues. I’m talking the genetically altered father and son duo of Rikki and Alec Razdan  and their severely dyspeptic  rhythm section including master cocktail drummer David “Doc” Vincent, who specializes in bopping on tables , chairs and beer bottles (and empties a few, too) and the redoubtable  Mr. Dan Whelan, on catarrh, who can wheeze his way through any style.

Well,I’ve signed up for elective surgery on my flabby elbow skin (hetero-weenisectomy) this Thursday and will be be busy recuperating with a Martini or three, so , in the meantime, why not stop holding your breath and inhale a little bit of Ms. Lisa Marie who will be charging in on her caparisoned horse, lance aboiling ,to skewer you with another night of electro-convulsive blues, and other music. And she’s bringing along the right people. She’s got Johnny Juxo to bang his shoe on the keyboard, “Silverfish” Steve on scratchy catarrh, and Dana “Bonefish” Bonardi on the bangulators. Sounds like a plan. Me, I’ll be showing up late in my black suit, in case you wanna see what I look like when I buy the farm! (minus the formaldehyde).

Nose-busting Mr. Chris “Stovall” Brown returns this Thursday for yet another rousing evening of Bad jokes, incredible glitar and heartfelt vocals. Always a pleasure to have mr. B. around. He keeps me honest, knows a million toons and has a new wireless rig that allows him to communicate with the planet Altair IV, as well as jump around all over the place whilst whanging out yet another incredible solo enroute to the front door. You gotta see this.

We’re late celebrating Keaster this week as I offer you hipster replacement therapy in the guise of Mr. Dave Birkin. A newbie for you and me. I met this guy at a party where the wallpaper curled and houseplants died after a rousing set of heat-seeking blues and j**z got the audience wheezing and drooping in hysteresis. Just back from a perspirational visit to The Mount Of Olive Oyl, where he scored a pair of Roman sandals and a scutum real cheap, Dave will visibly shake you up with modern renditions of classic blues and jazz. He has a really great Sax sound. And he sings, too. I really mean this.

Just back from an awesome Third Reiki Massage and gentle Acubeating session, I guarantee you he is limber and smood as greek Yohgurt. I just love his high energy and stylish hats.
