Long Beach update, high tide: The rip rap is exposed along the Long Beach seawall: the August shelf of sand is gone. (compare Thursday views to today’s). All staircases intact. The tides met the wall but with little splash over. Front row cottages’ yard furniture, umbrellas, planters and the like appear unbothered– and the pea stone pathway did not wash every which way. The prevailing blusters remain monodirectional. Accordingly, walkers’ vista one way is blurry white and the other clear and warmer. Seagulls tucked behind the popple berm and atop its ridge. The surf exhausted three off on their own.
