Last of The Eastern Rigs From Jon Campbell

Jon writes-

I spent a lot of time around Gloucester over the years. As you’d leave out of the harbor, I used to see a small Eastern Rig tied up at the end of Rocky Neck past the railway. Got to thinking about how the old-timers felt about those boats, made a song.

Down here in Pt. Judith the ‘Roanne’ ended up at Mystic Seaport, and the "E Carl Rice " got cut up and put in a dumpster.

Was looking at your photos of American Eagle and thought I’d see if you wanted to use this song to put together a montage piece using some of your old pics.

Got Alan Estes to join us out at the Astoria Fisher Poets Gathering last year, but he didn’t make it this year.

Drones Club is the private club for Pt. Judith fishermen, has toilet seats from long gone boats nailed to east wall.

I’m supposed to play up at Harbor Loop this year, not sure when, here’s a last video of a song dear to our hearts down here at the water’s edge in RI.
