Went to a meeting at the Inn Magnolia with Amanda Nash as our host. This Inn is such a charming place. Here are a couple of pictures.

Have you ever wanted to go on a ghost hunt? Now’s your chance!
On Saturday January 15th, from 8pm to midnight, join author, radio personality, and paranormal investigator Ron Kolek and members of the New England Ghost Project for an investigation of Inn Magnolia. The elegant mansion has a history of unusual occurrences and many visitors have witnessed strange events.
Sign up for this special event and you will become part of the NEGP team as they attempt to collect evidence of paranormal activity at the inn. An initial investigation on Halloween revealed that the spirits there were more than willing to communicate but reluctant to disclose their true identities. Who haunts the inn? Is it one of the former residents, a sailor looking for a lost love, a struggling artist, an ailing child? Or is it something more sinister?
Join Ron and the rest of the NEGP crew for an unbelievable night as they and you attempt to unravel the mystery of Inn Magnolia. The price of this investigation is only $60 and space is extremely limited, so sign up today at www.neghostproject.com/magnolia.htm or for more information call 978-455-6678.
Overnight accommodations are available from the Inn for $20 off the already very low winter rates. Call 978-525-3642 or go to http://www.innmagnolia.com for room reservations.

Halloween – the time of the year when the veil is the thinnest between the realms of the living and the dead…and what could be more terrifying than spending the evening in a haunted country inn with New England’s own VanHelsing?
On Saturday, October 30th, join us, if you dare, for a night of food, fun, and mystery. Feast with the living, as we enjoy an elegant harvest dinner sumptuous enough to raise the dead. Then listen as author, radio personality, and paranormal investigator, Ron Kolek of the New England Ghost Project, takes you on a journey into the dark and macabre world of the ghost hunter.
Next take part in an investigation of the Inn. And the night ends as we attempt to communicate with the wandering spirits of the Inn Magnolia.

From the Times–
The second in the “Tell Inn” storytelling series takes place this Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Inn Magnolia at 18 Norman Ave. in Gloucester. The event features storytellers Tony Toledo, Alicia Quintano, Andrea Lovett, Laura Lovett and Leigh Calabrese on her singing saw.
Guests are invited to come share a story of their own (under 5 minutes) and participate in the “Magic Hat” open mic storytelling event.
Toledo has been paying the rent with his mouth since 1990. He adds sign language to some stories since his wife is deaf.
Quintano has traveled to 38 states telling stories in theaters, universities, coffeehouses, and on the radio.
Andrea Lovett has been telling professionally since 1992. She is the co-founder of MassMouth and the ever-growing series of story slams in downtown Boston and Cambridge.
Laura Lovett has two novels in progress, has had works published in magazines and read on radio. She is a student at University of Massachusetts Amherst.
With her singing saw in tow, Calabrese has performed with artists What Time Is It Mr. Fox?, The Sob Sisters, Sukey Tawdry, Beat Circus, The Burlesque Revival Association, and (of course) as part of the soundtrack to countless haunted houses. And yes, her saw does cut wood.

Alicia Quintano has traveled to 38 states telling stories in theaters, universities, coffeehouses, and on the radio. New England appearances include Gloucester Stage Company, Passim’s, and First Night Boston.
