Kris sent me this photo of his daughter, Summer, sitting on the giraffe. Kris stated that his daughter wanted to sit on the giraffe. Kris told me that he had to get a very tall ladder to get her up there.

Our fun trip to Disney
What a wonderful time Rick and I had at Disney last week. We did everything from taking a photo safari, in Africa at Animal Kingdom to riding on a Small World at the Magic Kingdom. We stayed at The Jambo Lodge on the Savannah. Right from our balcony giraffes, wildebeests, Zebra, Kudus, Ankole-Watusi Cows, Eastern Africa Cranes and many more animals were free to roam. We also saw amazing, beautiful Elephants, Rhinos, Hippos, Cheetahs, Tigers, Lions and beautiful birds.
Seeing these beautiful animals roaming free was incredible and I think I became attached.
I probably took thousands of photos. This trip was our best time.

One of my favorite faces, no long lens needed. In the morning these beautiful animals seemed to enjoy where are room was.

Wow! Cape Ann in Kenya! 💖📚

“This is Adare who just returned from Kenya,” writes Deborah French, Library Director of the TOHP Burnham Library in Essex, Massachusetts. The family captioned the photograph “So here is Cape Ann Reads with a giraffe!” What a super travel photo, and kind shout out to Cape Ann Reads and Cape Ann.
Several captivating and compassionate picture books included in the Once Upon a Contest: Selection from Cape Ann Reads travel exhibition currently on view at Cape Ann Museum focus on animal friends. Stop by to read the new books and see if you can find all the giraffe illustrations.

AWOL in Africa 01966
A giraffe must have wandered from the sculpted granite animal park, and into someone’s driveway. This striking bronze animal changes color with the sunlight. When admiring the African animal sculpture park on Phillips Avenue in Rockport, turn and look directly behind you into the woods. If I’m not mistaken, this is the work of Chris Williams, who also created the bear family: https://goodmorninggloucester.wordpress.com/2014/10/08/big-bear-hug/#comments
