Who Got A Better Father’s Day Present Than Me?

Oh yeah baby.  The industrial strength plunger of my dreams! Love it!

DSC06870

I also got beautiful handmade cards form the Bean and Snoop Maddie Mad which will be proudly displayed in the office.

It’s the thought that counts and when you think Joey C Father’s Day gift what else would you think of than industrial strength plunger?
Don’t tell the Kids but I was secretly hoping for a weed whacker

What did you other Fathers out there get?  Leave a comment below.

Zip Line Kid shows you how to chop wood and use a socket set to fix a wagon

When we built the zip line (See those videos here), we had to chop down some trees and since yesterday wasn’t much of a beach day, John decided to chop them up and fix his wagon so he could haul the wood into the garage to store until it gets really cold.  In this video he shows you how to chop wood with an ax and use a socket wrench to repair a wagon (red wagon, of course).

Lots of great live music going on RIGHT NOW on this beautiful Father’s Day (click here for some ideas we gave you yesterday).  If you play your cards right, you could take Dad to see 8 shows between now and 9 tonight!  See full live music lineup here.

Zip Line Kid Saves Bird Nest & Eggs

Well, our son John has a new project this week.  While repairing our roof, we displaced a bird nest with eggs in it and John moved the nest with some help from Vickie, who’s been talking to the bird for some time now suggesting that she really didn’t want to be in our roof anyhow.  Watch this video and see how mother and son help out another mother and her (hopeful) offspring.

13 venues with music spread throughout the day, all day and night — it’s going on right now!  No reason to stay home.  Check out the full music lineup here.

Congratulations Beasly and Amandacakes!

Congratulations on your graduations.

We couldn’t be prouder of you both.

You are both beautiful, smart and kind and to say that we are proud of the young adults you have become would be the understatement of the year.

Also kudos to Sista Felicia the maniac and the guy who does so much and leads their family with quiet strength Barry.  You both are inspirational as to how to shower your children with love and always put them first.  The results speak for themselves.

You guys have always been great kids.  Kids that any family would be proud of.  Now you’re great young adults.  Keep on the track you’re on. Smile

Happy Arbor Day (A Week Later)

Last week The Bean brought home a sugar maple from school for Arbor Day.  I’m not sure I’ve ever seen her more excited to do anything like the way she was excited to get home from school and plant that tree.

From what they say about Sugar Maples we should be able to tap it in 40 years for maple syrup.  I doubt I’ll be around by then but maybe The Bean will remember this day.  the day we planted her Sugar Maple tree together.
