Face it. He’s the Grand Master. Such a wonderful study of the
American folk blues genre. Next week we’ll be doing a toy
drive for the first time EVAH with Marina Evans. The 23rd caps
it off with Sister Linda and Brother J.B. That’s right… another
Amero Family Christmas. It always starts early… 7pm! ~ Fly

PHANTOM OF THE OPERA at Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church on 10/31/15

On Halloween Night — Saturday, October 31st at 7:30pm International Sonic Artist Peter Krasinski will be accompanying the 1920’s silent film “Phantom of the Opera” starring Lon Chaney, on organ.   “Creative costumes” are encouraged; everyone in costume can join a parade at intermission and be eligible for prizes.

Experience a unique evening of entertainment for the whole family with one of the most famous silent film actors of all time, Lon Chaney, in his legendary role as the Phantom of the Paris Opera House.  When Krasinski accompanies a film it becomes literally a “once in a lifetime” event. Well known in the Gloucester area for his improvisational skills he began perfecting his craft at Hammond Castle and has become internationally known as a master of his art.  This is a “do not miss” evening!

This event is the first of 2015-16 Concert & Lecture Series to benefit the Meetinghouse Preservation Fund.   For more information see:  www.gloucesteruu.org

This event takes place at the Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church, 10 Church Street, Gloucester MA 01930.    Doors open at 7:00pm, the show starts at 7:30pm.

ADMISSION:

It’s been a long time to have Mr. Brian Templeton missing in action, but, we got ’em this week! A big bear of a man, his songwriting, vocalisms, and harp playing are the stuff dreams are made of. Very impressive! Worse, he’s bringing along a fab nose-busting guitarist in the form of Mr. Billy Loosigian . Long a staple in the Boston scene, his hydrochloric style is sure to get your blood pumping. Add Mr. Dave Mattacks, the Atomic Clock, to the mix, and will wonders never cesium! I’m really looking forward to this and hope I can return to normal by Saturday. Do come! you won’t regret! Ask your yoga instructor if the Blues Bash is right for you.

We’re going to reach terminal velocity this week, so if you got plans to stay home and iron your underwear, better go to confession and plan on destroying your liver instead.
Firstly, Mr. Gordon “Sax” Beadle returns to the Rhumb Line stage this Thursday. My favorite guest star, if you haven’t seen or heard of him, you must crawl out from under that rock that you’ve been hiding and put on your sailing shoes! This guy will tear your tonsils out with his own unique brand of saxophone mayhem. Always gets the crowd going wild. Not only that, but Ed “Ed” Scheer, my favorite four-on the-floor frontman and drummbler, will be holding down the beat and handling vocal duties. Furthermore, Mr. Pete Henderson makes a rare appearance as a foil and catarrhist of note. I can’t wait!
