Deck the Halls (City Hall) with Christmas lights!
Looking at City Hall through one of the windows in my room in the rectory, I see the lights on my Christmas tree superimposed over the building. It’s a nice seasonal effect!

Gingerbread House judge Barbara Catalini of Gloucester’s Cakes by Barbara. http://www.cakesbybarbarac.com. Barbara has been a cake decorator and instructor for 25 years and has judged these competitions for several years. She says she is always amazed at the quality and creativity of work.
Pictured here is "Santa on the Roof" by Pamela Basso. She won first place in the 19+ (and never-made-a-Gingerbread-House-before) category.

Civil War monument at night
This monument to the soldiers and sailors who fought in the civil war stands outside City Hall. The other night, there was a nearly full moon, which adds quite an effect to the scene.

Gloucester City Hall at night
If you haven’t taken a stroll in downtown Gloucester at night, I highly recommend it. Several of the historic buildings are beautifully lit, including our city hall.
In order to appreciate the symmetry of the building, you really need to walk a ways down the path between the library and the old school building (now apartments).
