We took a ride up Washington St and stopped by Marty Morgan Pottery a few days ago to check it out. It’s a re-purposed garage sitting at the edge of the Annisquam with a lovely, friendly and talented proprietor. You can see from these pictures that the light is just about perfect in this studio. The pottery items available just glow in the light! It’s a very relaxing atmosphere and you are surrounded with beautiful pottery from which to choose. You might find just the right item for someone special. Or just stop by. It’s very welcoming.

Itโs easy touring whether by car or via smartphone, desktop, or preferred device. Grab a hot chocolate and go or view from home! Imagination and themed repeat visits encouraged.
Notes about the map: This map is great in the embed mode because when you scroll down, each house photo(s) pop up, with a big arrow that directs you to that one point. From a desktop, hovering or right clicking the house icons reveal the photos for each pinpoint. For those who prefer a paper copy โwhich doubles as a seek and find sheetโclick on the three vertical dots and then select โprintโ (horizontal mode best) from pull down menu. Thanks for posting the events at the Gloucester Meetinghouse (Unitarian Universalist Church) on Good Morning Gloucester.ย Your help with getting the word out is always greatly appreciated!
Next weekend we have back to back concerts, a rare occurrence.ย Posters for both are attached but I just placed both events on the blog.
On Saturday evening, December 17, the Musicians of the Old Post Road perform their annual chamber music concert of the holiday season.ย They are one of the best early music ensembles in the country and play on period instruments, offering a gorgeous musical experience in the candlelit warmth of the Meetinghouse.ย Here is theย Cape Ann Community Blog post:ย https://capeanncommunity.com/2022/12/08/american-originals-a-moravian-christmas/
On Sunday evening, December 18, the Cape Ann Big Band is performing their Holiday Concert.ย Both shows in Rockport at the Shalin Liu the day before are already sold out!ย This is a great chance for local residents to enjoy their signature big sound in a much larger space and for less money per ticket!!!ย Here is the Cape Ann Community Blog post: https://capeanncommunity.com/2022/12/08/newsflash-extra-cape-ann-big-band-holiday-concert-sunday-december-18th/
Question:ย when I am adding an event at WordPress there is a list of Categories on the right hand margin (e.g. Maritime Gloucester) to choose as a venue or organization, but the Gloucester Meetinghouse does not appear.ย I have tried to enter our name in the open slot but it won’t let me.ย How do we get the Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation listed with the other organizations?ย Can one of you do this for us?
