We are putting on a charity event for Latham Center in Brewster, Massachusetts, they are a nonprofit organization that cares for Prader Willi syndrome, which is a very, very rare syndrome. They are in need of help, we are putting on a charity event at the Gloucester house Thursday night from 7 to 9 PM, there will be some big Boston comedians in all the Wicked Tuna captains will be there, in all kinds of things to auction off to raise money for Latham Center, my daughter Ashley resides at Latham Center. She is 13 years old and has Prater Willi’s, she is absolutely thriving At Latham Center, the staff that work at Latham Center are absolutely amazing and we want to give them a beautiful Christmas.
Like many of you, we have a dog in our lives that we like to spoil now and again. “We” might be an exaggeration as I don’t think GMG Jim is as on board with the spoiling as I am….so I went to Animal Krackers on Main St by myself recently with spoiling a dog in mind. It’s jam filled with food, treats, toys and other pet related goods. You even get to pet Walter, the giant (but friendly) store cat. Stop down for a little treat for your 4 legged friends.
Duckworth’s will be OPEN today, 10am-5pm!
And for the rest of December we will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 10-5 offering Duckworth’s prepared foods, “Bistrot to Go” favorites.
Duckworth’s gift certificates will be accepted for food items. Stop in and see what we have cooked up!

In 2013 we did a steak bomb challenge. If we did it again today I wonder who our nominees would be and I wonder who the champ would be. In honor of GMG’s 15 year anniversary maybe we ought to run it back!
After four rounds it looked like Captain Hooks Had It In The Bag But in the Final Taste Round (accounting for 40% of the scores) Destinos Pulled Out A Dramatic Come From Behind Win.
We had Bex, Chris DeWolfe, Kim Smith and Brianmoc go in for the sub pick-ups last night. Brought the subs in and weighed and recorded the weights and sequestered the judges in a separate room while we marked each sub Sub A, Sub B, Sub C and Sub D to insure no bias and a blind tasting.
Judges Ed Collard, Chris DeWolfe, Brian O’Connor and Craig Kimberley took their judging duty very seriously. The one part I would say would not be a fair comparison is Cape Ann brewing based on price since their price includes fries, slaw and a pickle.
