Hi kids:

Hope everyone is doing well.  Unfortunately, we need to continue trying to keep our city clean.  There is problem areas that need to be addressed.  There are some landlords and tenants that do not ever sweep their store front.  Most do and we appreciate the pride they take.

On Saturday April 1, 2023, our first tackle should be Main and Rogers Street, starting from St. Peter’s Square.

Time:                     09:00 – 10:00

Where:                 Starting at St. Peter’s Square

When:                   Saturday April 1, 2023

 Please bring gloves and I will supplies the yellow bags.

We have a request from Tom Schauer to help out on April 22, 2023 at Stage Fort Park.

4 Years Ago Today Our City Was Rallying Around This Guy!

4 years ago today, our city was rallying around this amazing guy! What fun that was! Having Jamie McDonald, ADVENTUREMAN, finish his epic 5,500 miles run from Washington state with us in Gloucester was such a exciting thing for so many of us! Now he’s home with brand new twins and an adorable toddler (equally as challenging, no doubt). Thanks, Jamie!

Why The Coyote Crosses The Road

We came upon this beautiful coyote recently at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge. To our surprise, as we watched, it came closer and closer to those of us along the roadway. It carefully calculated risk and distance then eventually took the leap in order to cross the roadway. I guess it wanted to go to the beach: which is why this coyote crossed the road! Brant Geese passing through, at Raymond Beach, sampling the seaweed
A Crow checking out whether nuts are all they’re cracked up to be
USCG spruces up the shore, replacing ‘whistle 2’ off Eastern Point light
On Niles Pond, a Mallard spruces up with a shower
And a fluff dry
A Greater Scaup couple comes over to check us out
Eddy Egret makes his spring debut
Seals turn their tummies toward the setting sun to soak up the last warm rays
While our Siren of the Seas stretches out seductively on her throne
