The Ding Dongs have Arrived!

The Ding Dongs have Arrived!
“I’m ecstatic to be able to take a second stab at Brenda Wither’s The Ding Dongs,” Artistic Director, Rebecca Bradshawº, brings this comic thriller to Gloucester Stage after directing its debut in New York at the Kitchen Theatre Company.
“This play has a way of twisting and turning with every line, even after watching it countless times it still leaves my jaw dropped. I can’t wait for Gloucester to join this wild ride!”
Withers’ witty, and insightful script combined with Bradshaw’s masterful direction promises an unforgettable experience for audiences – one that will linger long after the final curtain call!
This wild ride runs August 11-27th so be sure to purchase tickets online or by calling the box office at 978-281-4433.

Start School On The Right Foot

⁉️Do you remember how good it felt to start the school year off with new sneakers?

Not every kid knows that feeling. Together, we can change that! Please help if you can. No donation is too small. 👟

The start of the school year is just a few weeks away and the crew of Together Gloucester, Inc. wants to help our students “start school on the right foot” by helping to provide new sneakers or shoes for kids who need them.

We were asked by one of our community partners to help two boys who needed shoes and clothes to start school. Of course, we said yes, but we also recognized an opportunity to help more students to “put their best 🦶 forward”.

😊There are many psychological benefits of new shoes that go beyond comfort. Let’s come together to help our students do their very best and feel their very best.

👟We will work with our locals school adjustment counselors and our community partners at local agencies to identify students who would benefit from a new pair of kicks!

Venmo donations* can be sent to @together-gloucester or checks can be mailed to PO Box 6012, Gloucester, MA

Donations of new sneakers will also be accepted. Reach out to coordinate pick up.

Aboard The Lannon With Friends

Joey and I had won Public Sail tickets for the Thomas E. Lannon and decided to invite GMG contributors along for a ride in recognition of their efforts. Unfortunately, Joey could not make it in the end, but fun was had with James and Anna Eves, Birthday Girl Kathryn, Nichole Schrafft AND Hannah (also Happy Birthday) and Craig Kimberley. Thank you Heath for yet another wonderfully peaceful sail despite the threatening skies. Book your own tickets here. Maybe we’ll see you out on the water soon! We missed those who could not come along. Maybe next time.

Saltwater Grille Is Executing At Every Level With Excellence

226 Washington St, Gloucester, MA 01930

While some places that have incredible locations continue to struggle, Saltwater Grille located on the rotary with no particular waterfront view , knocked it out of the park.

Service, decor, food, drinks, right down the line they are giving people what they want. Good flavorful local inspired dishes that aren’t crazy fancy. They’re not outthinking anything, they’re just doing what everyone wants and they are doing it extremely well.

Their Instagram account had me wanting to go there for weeks but I just kept forgetting about it. Last night we went and the pictures from the Instagram account lived up to the hype.

We are “Eat at the bar” people and our bartender had us cracking up at the large horseshoe style bar.

We will be back. Again and again.

Eileen Kavanaugh Would Like Folks To Not leave Their Dog Droppings Behind.

Eileen writes: “You reach such a wide audience.  Could you remind people not to leave their dog droppings behind as someone did here?  I took this photo about 9:30 this morning at the Stillington Drive entrance to Ravenswood.  Thank you!”
