Hungry to make a difference? Support @CommunityServings’ 31st annual #PieInTheSky#Thanksgiving bake sale. Together, we can ensure those unable to shop or cook for themselves and their loved ones get the nourishment and support they need now and in the coming year Click on this link to purchase a pie and help a family in need!
Every Thanksgiving table needs a pie – make yours one that gives back!
Community Servings believes in the astonishing power of food. Their team prepares and delivers scratch-made meals daily to individuals and families across Massachusetts and Rhode Island, living with critical and chronic illnesses. The agency tailors meals to meet the individual medical and nutritional needs of clients eperiencing HIV/AIDS, cancer, kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease, and other devastating illnesses.
With generous support from friends and donors (like YOU!) through Pie in the Sky, their annual Thanksgiving fundraiser, Community Servings will continue to bring home-delivered meals to as many critically and chronically ill neighbors as possible this holiday season and beyond.
When you buy a freshly-baked apple, pecan or pumpkin pie for $35 or make a Pie for a Client donation, you purchase more than just a pie; you help Community Servings serve a neighbor unable to shop or cook for themselves – for an entire week!
Please buy a pie or make a donation and help Community Servings provide meals to critically ill clients and their families this holiday season.
I took advantage of the beautiful weather this week to do another one of those things I’m trying to jam in before the season ends. The Essex River Cruise is a great take especially on a gorgeous fall afternoon but you need to hurry as their season ends Sunday Oct 29. You can book online at this link. It’s an easy ride down to Dodge St Essex, parking is plentiful, the narration is great (thanks Alex and Powers). Take a friend for a leisurely afternoon trip and get caught up (thanks Susan).

Our friends the seals were hanging out at Brace Cove recently. I met a very nice woman artist on her bike there (Elizabeth–hello!) as she was also watching the seals. Another couple came up and offered some additional insight which we appreciated. The seals really brought the visitors together that day!
