Fall colors

This year the colors of trees have not been as vibrant as in previous years due to the lack of rain.  But going by Buswell Pond on Tuesday did show some reflection and colors.

RNAC Member Showcase – Opening Reception Sunday, October 26

Member Showcase is Rocky Neck Art Colony’s final exhibition of the season featuring seven distinctive bodies of work by RNAC members – John Bassett, Michelle Champion, Eser Costanza, Joanne Hurd, Patricia Scialo, Brian Murphy, R. D. Murphy – selected by juror Shana Dumont Garr.

Dumont Garr selected works that “possess remarkable vibrancy of color, composition, and method. Some of this vibrancy emerges through palette and medium; others through a sense of whimsy or the handmade.” This exhibition celebrates artistic excellence and innovation across a wide range of media and subjects. By featuring more work from fewer artists, Member Showcase invites viewers to engage more deeply with each artist’s vision and process.

The public is invited to celebrate Member Showcase at the Opening Reception on October 26, 4-6pm. View the art, meet the artists, and enjoy light refreshments and lively conversation.

R. D. Murphy, Cranberry Highway Starts Here; Patricia Scialo, Still Life in Blue With Lace; Joanne Hurd, Pretty Bug Dance; Michelle Champion, Winter Sun; John Bassett, X Acerbate

International Dory Race Committe Hauling Of The Practice Boats This Saturday

Help us move this Saturday!

The IDRC is planning to haul the two practice boats this Saturday, October 25, 2025 at11 AM (due to high tide) and we need your help.  The more people we get to help the faster it goes.  Please meet at the heritage center at 11:00 am.  Give us an hour or two to haul the practice dories (Heritage Center) and bring them to Erik’s property to be cleaned up and repainted.  Anyone with an available trailer please let me know.  We have one trailer currently and need a bunch of help.  Please lend a hand this Saturday.

Next Saturday November 1st we are going to put the practice boats back in the water for the winter.  Also, we will haul the race boats.  We will do this at the heritage center at 9 AM Saturday November 1st.  We will send another message next week.  Thank you.

Hope to see you all there!
