GLOUCESTER SMILES – 24065

My View of Life on the Dock

Hoping to see many of you at the Gloucester Elks for the Craft Fair Sunday Sept 22 from 10-3. Scheduled to be held in the parking lot and moved indoors if necessary so stop in! Pat D’s Photos will be there along with Ardizzoni Photography and many of your favorite vendors.

As you know, fog descended along the landscape a couple of days ago so I took myself down to the boulevard to check out the dahlias from our very own Generous Gardeners. Did you know you could “sponsor a dahlia”? I noticed several other people with the very same idea to check out the dahlias in the fog. There was a definite camaraderie amongst those strolling. And you can’t tell from these photos, but the fragrance added just the right note to the stroll. Support Generous Gardeners in any way you can. Fellowship and fragrance in the fog along the boulevard:

The album was released on Brandon’s fourteenth birthday and is aptly titled, “4TEEN.” The album consists of three original songs co-written by Brandon and a reworked cover of Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name,” as well as a few remixes for good measure. Musical guest performances from local legends abound on 4TEEN including Sam Pallazolla, from Kicked Off The Bus; Renée Dupuis, from SAFETY, What Time is it Mr. Fox, and Renée & Joe; and Trevor Blank and Christian Palmisano, from Violent Brides.
4TEEN was recorded and mixed by Warren Babson at Bang-A-Song Studios in downtown Gloucester, and was self-produced by The Wannabe Teenagers.
Producer Steven Azami said in his review of the lead single, Ocean Song, “Brandon Blatchford & The Wannabe Teenagers deliver youthful, high-spirited pop/rock on their release . . . this is a tremendous track . . . stellar work on this one by everyone involved!”
Brandon continues to play locally with Kicked Off The Bus and can be seen next at Magtober Fest on October 13.
4TEEN is available on all streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music, and Youtube.

Which way? I love these signs….almost as much as I love sitting on the deck next to them listening to music with friends. A few of us had an impromptu night out at Lobsta’ Land the other day and I found myself wondering where I would go if able….

The O’Maley field hockey team is off to a strong start this season after Tuesday’s win over Marblehead. Their record is now 3-0 with a great deal of season left to go. This group of players has come together as a team and indicate high hopes for the future of GHS field hockey! Congratulations team and Coach Jim Dalpiaz. Here’s a photo dump from Tuesday’s game:
