Greg Verga 2015 Gloucester Ma Write In Candidate For Councilor-At Large Election Video

To View Other Candidate submissions- https://2015gloucestermaelection.wordpress.com/

An Offer To All #GloucesterMA Election Candidates:
gmglogohires

As you all know we don’t take political stances here or endorse candidates but what I’d like to offer is an invitation for any candidate that is running for office in Gloucester to submit a video explaining why they think they are best suited for the position they are running for. The easiest way to do this would be to upload the video to YouTube.

The videos will be released once and placed on GMG at 7PM on the following night that they are received. If more than one video is submitted to me at goodmorninggloucester@yahoo.com then the first one that is submitted will be aired the following evening at 7PM and the next one submitted will be posted the following evening at 7PM. There will be a link in each candidates post containing their video to goodmorninggloucester@yahoo.com which will have all previously submitted candidate’s videos.

Once they are submitted they will be added to https://2015gloucestermaelection.wordpress.com/ where all the videos will be available for viewing at any time on the same page.

In the title of the video it should list the candidate’s name- position they are running for and the words “GMG submission”.

As always the GMG politics disclaimer- any post on these pages containing a candidate does not imply an endorsement for any candidate. Comments on www.goodmorninggloucester.com for these video submissions on the blog will be turned off for these posts as well.

Hopefully this will serve to help candidates get their message across.

Good luck and thank you to all that participate in the process for the love of Gloucester and making it better.

PAINTED TURTLE RESCUE AT NILES POND

A friendly sort, this little guy was found in the middle of Niles Pond Road headed towards the brook. He posed patiently while I filmed him for the swan film, took his photo, and tested out my new phone 4K video feature. I placed him near the brook but he started to cross the road again and then just plopped there in the middle! I was late getting back to work so I marched him down an overgrown path and positioned him near a rock at the water’s edge. We can only hope. Perhaps he was confused by the gorgeous warm weather this morning.

An exciting turtle instagram 🙂

Eastern Painted Turtles live in fresh water such as Niles Pond, and hibernate in the mud during the winter months. Painted Turtles are the most widespread turtle species of North America.

Plum Island Magic

Not Gloucester, but Plum Island is a pretty magical place.  If you haven’t visited in a while, it is worth taking a trip now while there are no crowds and the fall colors are still around.

Tonight! Brian Templeton @ The RhumbLine’s Dave Sag’s Blues Party 8:30pm 10.29.2015

dave-sag-rl-4-3-2014-1 (2)

Dave says,

It’s been a long time to have Mr. Brian Templeton missing in action, but, we got ’em this week! A big bear of a man, his songwriting, vocalisms, and harp playing are the stuff dreams are made of. Very impressive! Worse, he’s bringing along a fab nose-busting guitarist in the form of Mr. Billy Loosigian . Long a staple in the Boston scene, his hydrochloric style is sure to get your blood pumping. Add Mr. Dave Mattacks, the Atomic Clock, to the mix, and will wonders never cesium! I’m really looking forward to this and hope I can return to normal by Saturday. Do come! you won’t regret! Ask your yoga instructor if the Blues Bash is right for you.

I’m so grateful my webbed toes are not where my flip flop tong goes

Because it would suck to not be able to wear flip flops on days like today.

Two of our favorite performers, Cliff Eberhardt and Louise Mosrie will share the stage at Rockport’s Old Sloop, one of Cape Ann’s best listening rooms.  If either of these artists were performing solo, you’d want to go — but the two together is like an early holiday gift!  Get tickets now RIGHT HERE before they sell out.
