Hi Joey,
A sidewalk returns to Railroad Avenue. Some call it place making or Smart Growth. I say sometimes it’s nice to turn back time. Look at the old postcard image. We are lucky to have some of the same wide streets. Clean sidewalks – they’re great for residents. Great for commuters. Easier for families. Thank you DPW! It looks beautiful. I hope it inspires Shaws to match it up on the other side.
Bonus: It’s easier than ever to #strideby the Jeff Weaver mural at Ben’s Wallpaper and Paint and have a closer look. That mural changes now and again.

“These paintings depict images of the imagination, but are inspired by the obvious roiling beauty of the North Shore. Each piece is made using acrylic paint over sanded wood, layered many times and then hand-framed. Additionally, the abstract paintings are an experiment using copper leaf, torn and pressed to wood, then painted over with acrylic. All art is for sale. Please contact the artist at www.paintedbranches.com” Thanks for viewing!”

Cover russet potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle top with Atlantic Saltworks Salt Flake. Put on grill for about an hour, vents wide open.
Hollow out the potatoes once soft put soft potatoes guts aside.
Mix up equal parts shredded cheddar and cream cheese and butter and add just a touch of your favorite BBQ rub for color and a little kick. Then add your potato guts and some chopped up cooked bacon and restuff the hollowed out potatoes.
Toss em on the grill before your steaks to get that cheesy goodness to melt all throughout the potato.
Once you got meltage, you’re good, time to eat!
Joey,
I hope you will be able to post this.
Our grandfather, Rev. H Robert Smith, painted these folks during the 1960-70s, probably at the Rockport Art Association sittings. We would like for these oil paintings to go to their rightful owners.
If anyone recognizes themselves, their parents, they can contact me at Callas56@yahoo.com to arrange pickup.
Thank you, Gabrielle
Filmmaker Mary Jane Doherty writes the following, “It’s 2007. I am sitting in Mayara’s tiny bedroom staring up at her laundry draped over the termite-riddled beams, wondering how on earth she and her mom manages…
“Secundaria quietly follows one high school class on its journey through Cuba’s world famous National Ballet School. Our teenage dancers love to dance but many of them must dance as their sole way out of poverty and the constraints – visible, and not so visible – that is life in Cuba.
At least, that’s how the movie begins. In their third year, shy and inscrutable Mayara, the class star, takes charge of her destiny by committing an unprecedented act of willfulness.
Cinematic storytelling without a script, staging, or interviews, our gentle stream of a story turns out to have a waterfall hidden around that last bend…”

BREAKING NEWS: EASTERN POINT WOMAN ATTACKED BY COYOTE
An Eastern Point resident was attacked by a coyote at 5:15 this morning. She was curled up in an Adirondack chair drinking coffee and watching the stars before heading off to work. The wolf-size coyote leapt on her back. She jumped to her feet and fought it back with her fists. She next grabbed a broom and in the process hit her truck’s key fob, which sounded the alarm. The coyote slunk back into the brush and observed her as she threw rocks at it and yelled loudly, to no avail. It stayed for some time watching her. The coyote could be rabid.
The woman describes the coyote’s drool as smelling like foul meat and the fur as coarse and bristly. The drool was in her hair and took some time to wash out the smell. She does not inherently dislike coyotes and is an animal lover by nature, owns many pets and chickens, and was the former owner of a horse stable. There are several fences around her family’s property, in place to keep her pets safe, including an electric fence.
The woman called the police, who informed her that the animal control officer was not in. She has not heard from animal control.

Every fall daughter Amanda requests this dish I created for her several years ago for lunch or dinner at least once a week! It can be served as a meal or side dish. In Italian homes Risotto is considered a traditional Italian comfort food. The combinations of cheeses in this recipe paired with the fall flavor of roasted butternut squash and creamy risotto is just as addicting as the traditional American comfort food Mac & Cheese.
Have you seen me?
I’ve heard of the “elusive bluefin” but this is a first.
Mile Marker One at Cape Ann’s Marina Resort would love to get their friend, the bluefin tuna, back. Evidently, he went missing at some point on Sunday.
They have stated that “there will be no questions asked” upon his safe return.
Did your roommate bring home some living room decor? Did you walk outside and discover a fish out of water on your front lawn? Maybe you saw a vehicle on the boulevard with a giant fish head sticking out the window?
Let’s hope he finds his way home.
