Gloucester MA — THE CULTURAL CENTER at Rocky Neck is pleased to welcome harpist, singer and healing artist Christine Tulis, multi percussionist Kem Stone and special guest Stan Strickland for a unique concert highlighting the healing qualities of music on Saturday, November 7 from 7:30 – 9 pm.
Christine Tulis and Kem Stone are award-winning composers who have forged a musical partnership based on a mutual love of the healing properties of music. Their evocative sound features Christine’s celestial voice and Celtic harp seamlessly blended with Kem’s keyboard and world percussion. They are joined by internationally acclaimed sax and flute player Stan Strickland for a magical evening of music to open your heart.
Inspired by the poetry of Rumi, one of the world’s greatest mystical poets, the writings of Saint Theresa of Avila and her own personal experiences Christine creates songs celebrating universal qualities of Divine love and beauty. The harp has an ancient history of being used to facilitate healing and help people connect to the sacred, inner dimensions of their being. This program promotes the healing qualities of music and highlights the spiritual ideas embedded in the poetry to contribute to inner peace, happiness and well-being.
Christine and Kem have shared their music widely including at the United Nations, New York and Grace Cathedral, San Francisco. Their deep love for Cape Ann inspires their frequent return to bring the healing and uplifting qualities of their music to New England audiences.
To purchase concert tickets, hear samples of their music and learn more about Christine’s individual healing sessions available on Cape Ann and the Boston area this fall please visit www.christinetulis.com.

The first playoff game of this year a HUGE win over a team that had beaten them 35-0 earlier at the start of the season. Not only did they win but they did it in a grand fashion driving 62 yards with just over 0ne minute left in the game scoring with 3.2 seconds left to play!!!

Hi Joey, The season’s winding down in Pigeon Cove. Here’s a one minute slice of life on the waterfront late Sunday afternoon.
Editor’s note: the season is far from over for everyone except the small part timers. We’re actually in the heart of it.
It has been a couple of years….close to 3 actually, I think…and we have grown accustomed to how those wind turbines look from different angles all around town. I’d say that we almost don’t even notice them anymore, but that’d be a lie. We do. We still notice them. Actually, my boys notice them enough to pay attention each weekday morning at about 7:25 and most afternoons around 4:45 to see how many (if any) are “spinning”.
They’ve been asking me off and on, for a long time, to explain why sometimes none are moving, sometimes just one, and sometimes 2 or even all 3 are in operation.
I’ve guessed that they operate as needed. But I haven’t been able to satisfy their curiosity completely. Does a person actually turn them on as necessary? Do they turn themselves on? Is there a schedule we have not yet noticed? How much does weather actually play a role? What’s the deal?
I’d love some help from our highly knowledgable FOBs!
Help a kid (or two) out if you’re in the know and have a second.
Thanks in advance!
