BREAKING: SEINE BOAT OARSMAN TAKES OAR TO CHEST, RUSHED TO SHORE
A Coat Guard oarsman took an oar to the chest midway through the military seine boat race today at Pavilion Beach. It looked to happen at the turn. The Coast Guard (Nina) was racing alongside the Gloucester Fire Department (Pinta); the accident appeared to slow the firemen. The oarsman was rushed to shore by the Coast Guard rescue boat. At this time, no additional information available. We hope a speedy recovery for the oarsman.

But if you want the tee, they are for sale down at Walt Kolenda’s new place on Main street—Cape Ann Auction, formerly the site of Fred Bodin’s studio.
