My View of Life on the Dock

When going out to do our cleaning on Saturday morning, there is always a place to stop and take in the view.

So I’m in the hardware store and Rebecca shows me some fly paper. Remember that brown sticky tape your grandpa hung in the shop to catch flies? It still works and comes complete with a large thumbtack.

This events sounds like fun.

Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary in Natick is part of the Mass Audubon Society and runs along Indian Brook and the Charles River. It’s a beautiful easily groomed walk teaming with wildlife and a place to put on your list of places to visit!

Experts from the Cape Ann Museum and Historic New England are teaming up Saturday, August 6 to answer all your old house questions and needs from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Museum’s White-Ellery House, 247 Washington Street in Gloucester.
Preservation experts at this drop-in event will answer questions about preventive maintenance, researching an old house, identifying a home’s architectural style, creating historic gardens and choosing paint colors that enhance historic houses. Visitors are invited to bring photos or images of their homes along with their questions to share with the “Old House Doctors.”
Pre-registration is not required.
