SELL OUT WARNING Loretta LaRoche in Beverly Tomorrow Night
As promised, we warn FOBs when a show is about to sell out. Tomorrow’s Loretta LaRoche – Love Laughter and LasagnaĀ (taking you back in time to the humor of growing up with her Italian family in Brooklyn) is selling fast and there are only a few tables left at our new, intimate venue, 9 Wallis in Beverly. Ā You may have seen Emmy-winning Loretta LaRoche on PBS or during prior tours, but you’ve probably never seen her in an intimate room with comfortable table seating, a delicious Lasagna dinner and bar service!
You don’t want to be one of those people who calls us tomorrow begging for a seat that we can’t give you because there just isn’t any space left, do you?
Here’s Loretta on PBS:

Anyone have any idea of what may have left these behind? Ā The second set of tracks (seen in the second two photos) kind of looks like you can see a tail dragging.

I don’t want to sound dramatic About The End Of Western Culture Beginning With U12 Girls Soccer, but I Totally Think It Is
The ABSOLUTE 100% highlight of my week is getting to watch my daughters play soccer. I LOVE the place where they play āDanvers Indoor Sports. It is clean, well run, and an awesome modern place where the kids can get their sporting activity on even in the dead of winter.
But Iām afraid that the place where my favorite thing in the world to do has now succumbed to the idiots that have brought us participation awards instead of tournaments where there are winners and losers.
A couple of weeks ago the scoreboards stopped keeping score. The timers worked just fine, but when a team scored a goal, it didnāt register. Among the parents we just assumed that the scoring system where the ref changes the scores was broken. But yesterday we found out that it was a conscious decision to stop displaying the scores because people were getting too charged up over the scores and because⦠feelings.
I canāt BELIEVE IT!
Are you kidding me??????
Weāre just gonna stop keeping score now?????? I canāt, I really really really canāt believe that this is a thing. Iām so beyond disappointed that this is the direction people want to go with the youth of America. So soft. So beyond soft.
This is craaaazy.

PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!
Essex National Heritage is celebrating their 20th anniversary. To mark this special occasion, Essex Heritage is recognizingĀ organizations and people that make the Essex National Heritage Area (Essex County) so exceptional.
Much, much to my delighted surprise, I have been nominated as an Essex Heritage TrailblazerĀ in the second category, Connecting People to Place. The 130 nominees are all stellar and most are businesses and veryĀ large organizations, for example, the Peabody Essex Museum, Mass Audubon (statewide), and Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, so it is really quite an honorĀ to be nominated. I think GMG could have been nominated for all our work collectively but I am of course grateful for the nomination.
The voting process isĀ very simple, you don’t have to provide your email address or any other personal information. Please voteĀ Kim Smith,Ā in the center column, halfway down in the second category, Connecting People to Place. Here is the link to vote: surveymonkey.com/r/TrailblazersVote
All nominees will be recognized and the Gala sounds like great fun–celebratory cocktails, an exquisite dinner, silent auction, and a Toast to the Trailblazers.
