My View of Life on the Dock

I took a long weekend in Bar Harbor for a foliage photography workshop in the Acadia National Park. As we were ferried around the area, I couldn’t help but notice how many similarities there seemed to be between Cape Ann and the Bar Harbor area. I think you will see that in the pictures that follow.
Each area is popular with visitors; each features fishing/lobstering; each is surrounded on all sides by water. Nearly immediately, however, I could see that their personalities are very different even as they hold their own unique charms. The “working waterfront” that the instructor thought was picturesque enough for its own photo shoot didn’t hold a candle to the rugged Glosta docks. (One bonus was the distinct lack of fish smell at this particular working dock, although I confess to kind of missing it.) The ocean was slamming against the giant rocks, giving the other participants (land-bound in their hometowns) quite a thrill. I was thinking how I’d just had my own storm wave photo shoot which included Good Harbor…….eh, Maine…I’ve seen better.
BUT the foliage was just glorious: rich reds, blazing oranges, glowing yellow at every turn. What a visual treat! I would return. But I’m not eating their lobster…..
Brady has to know with the psychotic trolling conspiracy making up Boston Sports media that they would create a media circus around this. The captain of a team that prides itself on not creating distractions doing this scene makes no sense from a team perspective. Especially in a media market in Boston where they don’t even need controversy to make up stuff that will fracture teams. We will see if they can overcome the inevitable noise from this. #disappointing.

The Ruby-throated Hummingbird is the only species of hummingbird that nests in Massachusetts. Learn what to plant to help sustain this elusive beauty while it is breeding in our region and during its annual spring and fall migrations. Through photographs and discussion we’ll learn about the life cycle of the Ruby-throated Hummingbird and the best plants to attract this tiniest of breeding birds to your garden.

So after buying no less than 10 lightning iPhone charging cables in the past calendar year I’m down to exactly ONE. Yes ONE. I have the same one from the beginning but others have somehow either lost or broken theirs.
My suspicion is that there are lots of adults that take care of their charging cables whose kids or spouses don’t necessarily take care of theirs.
Soooo these family member name cords are just what us responsible cell phone charging cable owners need. No cord thievery. Mom is responsible for Mom’s. Dad is responsible for Dad’s and so on down the line.
I looked it up on Amazon and they are not available.
So who wants to go in on it and have these bad boys mass-produced?
Just in time for Christmas shopping. Let’s get it done and retire early while saving the sanity of responsible cell phone charging cable owners throughout the world!
A huge Oak Tree came down from our back yard during the storm on Wednesday evening.
