This dredge is still hard at work. I love the reflection in this photo from Paul Horovitz as well as the striking blue of the water and sky…lined with mooring balls waiting anxiously for summer.

It appears the Coast Guard and perhaps others were doing some training off Eastern Point yesterday afternoon. Thanks all for how you stay in shape to assist as needed!

Our cherished and favorite neighborhood gathering place, Chef Ken and Nicole Duckworth’s, has reopened for the season and it looks stunning. Inspired by the surrounding coastal hues of deep marine blue, Cape Ann’s rugged granite outcroppings, and the soft gray green of fog and mist, you will love the new look.
The new lighting beautifully illuminates the artwork.
The familiar, warm French cherrywood chairs makes for a lovely counterpoint to the new seaside colors and are a refreshing change.
Many of Ken’s classic dishes remain on the menu, but there are some wonderful new additions coming. And Ken has a fantastic new cooktop and oven!!!
A fresh new sign to accompany the new interior look. Note the sign no longer says Bistrot and that is because Ken and Nicole are planning to hold more intimate gatherings and parties.
On Monday the small sail boats were being moved from Gloucester Harbor to the Annisquam.

What folks should remember is that online message boards and Facebook groups are great for sharing information but you shouldn’t take anything you read online as fact. It’s pretty easy to make unfounded conclusions online.
That being said, it may just help putting pieces together to help find Abbie.

My Musical Guest: DAN KING!

Here in the wake of the NFL’s biggest day, I feel it noteworthy to mention our good friend, Dan King (pictured here with his former (and much, much older) coach, has in fact been in a Super Bowl of his own – that as a member of Gloucester High’s famous and historic Fightin’ Fishermen. The place was Foxboro’s then Sullivan Stadium. The year was, I believe, 1987. But, you can ask him for details yourself when you get to the Rhumb Line this Wednesday at 7pm. And, guess what? You can also have a great, great time listening to him do his cool, cool thang. Rah-rah! Go Fishermen! ~ Fly
Dinner with great music!
