My View of Life on the Dock
When visitors ask where they should go, I always recommend the Harbor Loop. I think it’s beautiful in so many ways and tells one of the stories of our fair city. So, I took a ride down for a look around recently.

Creating a home always becomes something different once you start. You never end up where you thought you would. And often that’s for the best. A home can feel like a faraway dream, something that doesn’treally exist. But all the great things begin with a dream.

These homeowners never thought they were going to be people that would build a house, but they did it. And now 30 years later, they are re-investing in their home by remodeling their kitchen. It’s a big deal, and an intense process. But in the end, it’s an investment in both the resale value of your home and your happiness. How is that not worth it?

Home is a space to be cherished, cared for, and used to the fullest extent. It’s the place we raise our children. It’s the place we celebrate accomplishments and mourn our failures. We spend late nights baking cupcakes for…

CHAMBER ANNOUNCES CAPE ANN SMALL BUSINESS WEEK, SEPTEMBER 21-25
The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Cape Ann Small Business Week 2020 will be celebrated from Monday, September 21 through Friday, September 25, in conjunction with National Small Business Week.
Every year since 1981 the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce has designated a special week to honor the achievements of Cape Ann’s small business entrepreneurs and their employees and salute their contributions to the economic vitality and community life of Cape Ann. On Wednesday around 4:45 took this photo at Magnolia Pier. You can see the smoky sky from the fires out west.

Great day to do something good for you and your body. Lets go!
Between buoy sticks, shovels, and lobster tank overflow pipes…..sails the Lannon. I love Gloucester Harbor.

I had lunch with my favorite aunt at Seaport Grille this week. Now that Labor Day is behind us, we were able to get seated inside quickly and efficiently for a weekday lunch. Tables are distanced and all protocols appear to be in place. Jennifer served us in a friendly manner taking our order for a fish sandwich and a cheeseburger. I talked my aunt into my favorite dessert there: Seaport Coffee….yummmmm……Thanks Seaport Grille for a lively lunch experience.

Just when we need a little extra kindness, the fifth MosiacGloucester panel was installed a few days ago on the Americold Building. Like its four other companions, it is named after Dogtown Boulders: Kindness joins Use Your Head, Never Try Never Win, Help Mother and Courage. More information about the panels and the project can be found here.
These panels are designed to tell some of the stories of Gloucester so I am including some close-ups that contain just a few of the local references. They are quite beautiful and I encourage you to take a closer look.
