My View of Life on the Dock

So many of my favorite fall trees have already started to lose their leaves. I was happy to find time to take some photos of the beautiful fall foliage that surrounds us before it was too late.

There’s never a shortage of activity around our harbor.

Given the problems with conventional soporifics, medical scientists have been exploring other ways to improve sleep by targeting the endocannabinoid system (ECS). As the primary homeostatic regulator of human physiology, theECSplays a major role in the sleep-wake cycle and other circadian processes.
Italian scientist Vicenzo DiMarzo summarized the broad regulatory function of the endocannabinoid system in the phrase “Eat, sleep, relax, protect and forget.”
How we fall asleep, stay asleep, wake up, and remain awake is part of an internal biological process regulated by our circadian rhythms and our endocannabinoid system. Circadian rhythms govern a diverse array of actions in the body, including hormone production, heart rate, metabolism, and when to go to sleep and wake up.
The way we fall asleep, stay asleep, wake up, and remain awake is regulated by our circadian rhythms and our endocannabinoid system.
It’s as if we have an internal biochemical timer or clock…

This big guy was roadside as I was driving around Niles Pond a couple of days ago. I am told it’s likely to be a snapping turtle (Amy’s actual words were “ Freakin’ snapping turtle”) and it seems to be a pretty good size. Beware of them though, they have a vicious bite and can extend their necks further than you might expect. I also understand they can move more quickly than most of us assume. You never know what you might see over there!

Turns out there are lots of people using Lose it! App to keep themselves accountable and lose weight.
James Towne wrote after seeing me post about it:

James Towne Before and After

This app is free and it is a real eye opener as far as what I could potentially blow a ton of calories eating when I could be eating lots of other things throughout the day.
It links with smartwatches, cell phones and it has a ridiculous amount of food options when you go to enter what you’re eating.
I’ve lost 5 pounds thanks to the accountability and awareness of the foods I’m putting into my body. For me, snacking out of boredom is my number one weight gain fail. Using this app it keeps me on track!
i also really like how you can just scan barcodes on the food you’re eating and it does all the calculations for you. Sooooo easy.

Hey there! You’ve been invited by a friend to join them on Lose It!!
A note from Joey C:
“I love this app because it helps me stay on track with my goals. Use this link for a free week of Lose It! Premium, and let’s do this together!”
Here are some screenshots from my premium app today:
