The lookout….

My View of Life on the Dock
The lookout….

The clouds and sunshine combined in an interesting way at the Paint Factory recently, giving a new view of red, white and blue…..

There was a nice glow rising behind Thacher’s Island and its Twin Lights. We had to get to work and school, but we took a quick detour to snap a couple of photos before starting our day.

We were out and about Sunday and decided to have dinner at the recently reopened Boat House Grille on John Wise Ave in Essex. It seemed to us that they have not missed a step during their closure over these last several months. Plastic barriers separate tables and bar seating for safety but are not intrusive to your dining experience. They are preparing to offer a new outdoor dining area! We were served our meals efficiently by Abigail. I had cajun seasoned broiled haddock…lightly seasoned so if you’re expecting a spicy kick, ask for more cajun. It was perfect. Jim had the burger which he enjoyed a great deal. It was a lovely Sunday dinner experience. The menu even offers after hours beverages for the kitchen staff, which I think is a great idea and we sent some back there! Thanks to all for a warm and wonderful dinner!

Hello Nautical Lovers!
Ipswich River Craft is 1 year old – who would have ever thought this little sign hobby would have taken off? But, because of you – it all has – Thank You Thank You from the bottom of my heart. A few other people also helped us become who we are and we are saying thank you to them as well.
My good friend, Keith & Britt Emery ordered 7 signs right as we started out and that was just their first order. That’s him in the picture with my dog Jack doing a tv interview.
And then Tom Silva, from This Old House taught me the right way to make our product the best it could be. Hear some of those tricks, while Tommy gives an inside peek to his home workshop and show’s us what he is working on now. Plus, we give him a sign. Be sure to watch us on Facebook and Instagram to see what his sign says. Those interviews can all be seen on our FB page at Ipswichrivercraft or on Instagram @ipswichrivercraft @tomsilvatoh. look under reels, and igtv.

The Perfect Gift for Mom
This spring we are cranking out signs and hoping to fill a bunch of Mother’s Day orders. Name signs are a winning gift as you know, and we are also running a special sale on our mini sign that says” I Love U” – for $115. But don’t wait until the last minute, put your orders in now to be sure to get in time. And don’t forget Dad – Father’s Day is June 20th

We are all about getting noticed, and are now working with Cathleen Williamson from PLUM PR Group in Newburyport to get our PR on track.
Maybe you saw us on “Good Morning Gloucester,” click this link to watch – I come in at 31.34 minutes into the broadcast
“GMG” also did a story about our locations sign. Gotta love Good Morning Gloucester.
And Gloucester’s “1623 Studio’s – Cape Ann Today” did a story about our “covid pivot”.
My CT hometown paper “The Milford Mirror” put us on the front page, and the “New Haven Register” did a feature too.
And my wonderful husband, John produced a video documentary about us.
And Coming Up:
“ICAM” (Ipswich Community Access Media) is putting a story together and so is “Wicked Local” to be published soon. And North Shore Magazine is doing a Feature on us in May! All very exciting. We will also be showing at the Essex, Ct Boat Show April 30, May 1 & 2nd. www.ctspringboatshow.com/about-us.html
But, we especially need your help. We would like to ask you to take a picture of your artwork or item you got from us and post on Facebook or Ideally on your Instagram account and tag us. It will help us get more followers who don’t know about what we do.
Tag us @ipswichrivercraft on Instagram – or follow us on Facbook at Ipswichrivercraft.
Ok that’s it for now…remember boating season is just a few weeks away and that means beach days will be following shortly after that.
Fondly,
Pamela

North Shore Community College Partners with Gloucester High School, and MassHire to Offer Pathway to a Career in Advanced Manufacturing
North Shore Community College is offering a new free training opportunity to become a nationally certified CNC machinist. The program combines math for manufacturing class, career readiness preparation, and hands-on machinist training at Gloucester High School. Through a generous grant by the GE Foundation, the program is free of charge to students and begins on May 24.
Demand for skilled workers in manufacturing is high, and our students are highly sought after by employers. In our most recent class, 100 percent of students pursuing a career were offered employment upon completion.
If you would like more information, please contact Martin Trice at mtrice01@northshore.edu or go to http://bit.ly/ManufacturingTraining to sign up for our next information session.
