Schooner Thomas E. Lannon in the Harbor

What an inspirational sight it is to see the Schooner Thomas E. Lannon out in the harbor! Not only is it a great photo opportunity from shore, it’s a great take for visitors as well as residents. You get out on the cooler water and view the city from the water. The public sails take only about 2 hours and there are several special themed sails all summer long. This position requires the candidate to assist the physical therapists in the clinic and be responsible for general organization and upkeep of the clinic. Other duties include answering phones, scheduling, greeting patients, and general administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should be outgoing, friendly, and enjoy helping people with recovery from various injuries. This position is perfect for someone interested in pursuing the health field, especially physical or occupational therapy and will be 25-30 hours to start.

Not going to lie, don’t know much about this, but each time I scroll through my photos it catches my eye.  It is known as The Londoner and is an iron spindle not far off of Thacher’s Island.  It marks Londoner’s Ledge.

Celebrating Schooner Ardelle’s 10th Anniversary

Last night many friends of the Schooner Ardelle gathered to commemorate a decade-long partnership, and to celebrate the beauty and impact of the Schooner Ardelle for Cape Ann, Maritime Gloucester, Burnham Boat Building and the Essex Shipbuilding Museum.

Senator Bruce Tarr presented citations to Maritime Gloucester, Essex Shipbuilding Museum and Harold Burnham and praised all three for their contribution to our maritime history.

Mayor Sefatia Romero Theken also stopped by to present a citation on behalf of a grateful city.

Music was provided by Daisy Nell & Capt Stan and their merry band. An old fashion potluck was enjoyed by all.
