My View of Life on the Dock

No one under 18 and about ten people

North Shore Arts Association (NSAA) is excited to collaborate with the Rocky Neck Cultural District Partners to celebrate art on Cape Ann every Thursday night in July and August for the Culture Splash between 4 – 8 PM. During Thursday’s extended hours come experience free artist demonstrations starting at 6 PM by extremely talented, well-known artists.
We are thrilled to welcome NSAA’s national award-winning and local artist Rosalie Sidoti, who is giving an oil painting demo this Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 6:00 PM. Rosalie’s demonstration will focus on simplifying color mixing, understanding what makes a good composition, and sharing techniques for achieving personal goals in art. To see more of Rosalie’s artwork, please visit her website www.rosaliesidoti.com.
“I am fortunate to live on Cape Ann where the light is magical and like no other place. My inspiration is endless, and the possibilities are boundless.” – Rosalie Sidoti

I am very happy to see this eagle in Magnolia this week! It didn’t stick around long and we are hoping for another sighting soon.

Governor’s Park is such a little gem in this beautiful city. Although, I happened to notice tonight that the sign may be misspelled. The expansive view lessens during the summer months when the trees are full and in bloom, but the park is extra beautiful. In the “off season” things aren’t so lush and pretty, but the view expands! So, either way it is a gorgeous spot to sit for a bit. Click on the post to see the view.

We are trying it again! The postponed Cape Ann Makers Market WILL BE HELD tonight Thursday Aug 26 at the Paint Factory and Ocean Alliance from 4-8 PM. I will have notecards, prints and other gifts available and if you mention GMG, there is a discount on whale items (excepting notecards)! Contributor Donna Ardizzoni will also be there along with Cape Ann Sea Salt and Hold Fast. Looking forward to meeting you tonight to benefit Ocean Alliance. It’s the final Culture Splash event for Summer 2021 so don’t miss out.

Beach path….

Here are some of the images I have featured in products such as notecards, prints, towels, coasters, puzzles etc that will be available tomorrow from 4-8 PM at the Paint Factory/Ocean Alliance Cape Ann Makers Market. Whale items will be discounted for anyone mentioning Good Morning Gloucester (except for notecards). Please stop by and say hello.

The post storm fog around town this week created some moody scenes. All beautiful and worth sharing. For some additional shots please visit Pat D’s Photos and Adventures on Facebook.
