My View of Life on the Dock

We took our company up the road a bit to the Village Restaurant in Essex for dinner recently. After making online reservations (easy-peasy) we were greeted and seated although one member of our party had not yet arrived. That’s a bonus when you have a young child with you! It was dusk and beautiful out back. I noticed chargers for electric vehicles (another bonus) AND the service was friendly and efficient. Our daughter ordered the bucket of rum which was literally a bucket and she was quite pleased. We also had broiled scallops, fish fry and a sandwich. It was a comfortable and relaxed dinner in a very pretty setting and I can’t wait to return.

I invite you to my virtual sushi lesson this Sunday 10/10 at 6pm.
Anyone can sign up from anywhere in the world. I will help you to make your own sushi. Bring your own Sake and Beer. Let’s party!

Thank you Generous Gardeners for the beautiful flowers on Stacy Boulevard.

Well, hello, gourdeous. I’m always super sad to see summer end, but I love the colors of fall and I’m all about trying to visit farms on weekends….between football and hockey.

We had a visit from our grandson recently and took him down to Maritime Gloucester to check out the touch tanks. It was a wonderfully immersive experience for him, approved by his zoo educator Mom. Thanks Maritime Gloucester! If you haven’t been in a while (with or without a child), make it a point to stop down. Inside and out, it’s a winner!

Loving the rivalry, I love this in a strange kinda twisted way.
Let’s Go Red Sox! For a Red Sox team that was in rebuild mode to be here in the post season is gravy. A win tonight would be amazing, to be able to knock the Yankees out of the playoffs after they spent ALLLLL the money and went out and got Gerrit Cole this past offseason.
