Lily Pond on a Fall Day

I was hoping for some spectacular fall color the other day and we didn’t exactly get that yet, but we did enjoy the beauty and the quiet at Lily Pond. It was a little bit gray that day with the sun only peeking out here and there. We were surprised to see a train riding the rails though! Bonus shots. Always a good thing when you are seeking daily content!

We snuck in one last dinner at the Studio this week. They close for the season on Saturday night. You might want to get down there before you miss out. It’s a long winter…..

Kingfishers on the Hunt

We went looking for fall colors and found kingfishers instead. At 3 different locations recently, we watched the kingfishers doing their thing. It was almost like they were watching us instead of the other way around! I just love finding these guys.

The Fall Checklist

grandbanksbp's avatarCape Ann Home

One of the first signs of fall is when the windows start to close. As New Englanders, it is a nearly universal point of pride to keep them open for as long as possible. When the days get shorter and the wind gets colder, the windows start to come down. Closing the windows sets off a chain reaction. It’s a signal that there is more work to be done around the home with the changing of the seasons.
