Since 2010, the Cape Ann Big Band, conducted by Carlos Menezes, has connected
with local musicians of all ages and backgrounds to inspire, challenge, and
educate. Inspired by the sounds of Jazz, Swing, New Orleans’ street bands, Soul,
and Rock n’ Roll, the Band prides itself in a repertoire without horizons. The
Jambalaya Horns provide added punch, with added Funk, Soul, and Brassy
Second-Lines. They will make you feel like you’re in New Orleans!
This is a great opportunity for the whole family to enjoy the sounds of two of our
community’s most amazing bands and to celebrate the coming New Year in our
historic 1806 Meetinghouse!
Side entrance at 10 Church Street provides a lift/elevator for those who are challenged by stairs. Street parking as well as parking on the green is also available.

“I worked hard to make this extra special! I am sincerely grateful to Capt. Lenny Russo for inviting me to create this beautiful film, celebrating the life of his uncle Peter Russo. Peter’s unwavering optimism has been a source of inspiration for me since childhood, and his legacy will continue to inspire us. We will miss you dearly, Peter. In loving memory, your impact will be forever remembered. Capt. Peter Russo, October 29, 1964 – December 10, 2024. We love you Capt!

Here’s this week’s line up at the Rhumb Line. See you there!

We’d had a long day during the Middle Street Walk festivities including the UU Holiday Show and the Lobster Trap Tree Lighting and I was craving a quiet comfortable dinner experience. There are so many fine choices, but this time we went to 525 on Lexington Ave in Magnolia. We were greeted warmly, seated and served in a friendly efficient manner. (Shout out to Kirsten). I had the chicken saltimbocca and Jim ordered the hearty meatloaf. The experienced warmed us up inside and out, as it always has. Did you know they offer brunch on Sundays too?? Thank you Tamie and Larry!
