IMG_4935Some say it’s bad luck to break family tradition…but there is always an exception to breaking tradition when the reason truly makes sense, right?  I think the “Fall Theme” sprinkle adornments justifies these traditional Christmas Cookie Delights early appearance on any sweet table this fall! After all, we did officially have our first snow fall yesterday making it feel more like we should be preparing for Christmas rather then Thanksgiving!

Hi Everyone! This is Lillian LoGrasso and I’m excited to host my 2nd Shopping Night Extravaganza at the Cruiseport Gloucester on Friday, November 21st, 2014! Last year I had this fundraiser for my daughter and her classmates that went to Italy and it was a huge success! This fundraiser is for the Gloucester High School students that are traveling with the school to Italy and France during April Vacation in 2015! The fundraiser helps ALL the kids go that want to go and experience this amazing opportunity! The Shopping Night Extravaganza will include over 20 amazing vendors for you to shop with all in one night! There will be a fun DJ and a cash bar so you can enjoy a cocktail while you shop! THE BEST PART IS FREE ADMISSION!!! There will be tons and tons of raffle prizes for you to buy tickets for!!! And a 50/50! So girls and guys, Mark your calendars and bring all your friends and family!!! Live From North Shore Walk to Defeat ALS

Today 45 family and friends of the late Barbara Reynolds are walking along side Barbara’s beautiful family in The North Shore Walk To Defeat ALS in Hamilton MA.

My dear friend Tanya Reynolds Frost, daughter of Barbara Reynolds has spent the past two months organizing a team in her mother’s memory to raise money and awareness for ALS. Italian Donuts & Cappuccino with Gloucester Historian Ronald H. Gilson

PrintIMG_3410This morning our dear family friend and Gloucester Historian Ronald H. Gilson stopped by for a visit with a personally signed copy of his book “An Island no More” and a copy of a new released book he was involved in supplying his knowledge about World War II  and  Gloucester’s fishing fleet for the book  “Battle Stars for the “Cactus Navy”” written by David D Bruhn for a history project daughter Amanda is currently researching. While enjoying warm cappuccino and a warm batch of Italian ricotta Donuts, Ron treated us to stories from his youth growing up on Cape Ann’s coastline during World War II “Battle of The Atlantic” and Gloucester working water front.

Italian Sausage Pepper & Onion Sandwich

Saturday Mom & I Made a special trip to Joe Pace & Sons in Saugus Ma. to stock up on some of our favorite Italian ingredients which included a few pounds of Italian small link sausage! Within minutes of arriving home the Zizzita (sausage) peppers and onions were fried and fixed between freshly Sliced Sclafani Italian Bread. Zizzita Sandwiches are easy to prepare and make a delicious meal or snack anytime of day!

Holiday Cooking is in Jeopardy…Someone Notify DCS/Fisher Paykal STAT

What is going on with my DCS/Fisher Paykel appliance’s? 

 

The timing of this couldn’t have come at a worse time of year. This is the season to bake, and prepare for the holidays. The time of year my kitchen gets the most use.  I absolutely love my DCS/ Fisher Paykal appliances, they are by far my most favorite and most used appliance’s in my kitchen…they were my Best friends throughout the creation of  my cookbook “Gifts of Gold  In A Sicilian Kitchen With Sista Felicia; Harvest.”  After hours of reaserch and several phone calls, per the recommendation of DCS, St. Barry took the control panel out of the ovens yesterday and shipped it off to DCS for service,….and we can’t find anyone in our area to service the grill or dishwasher. DCS/FISHER PAYKAL Please HELP!!!!!
