A Circle of Friends!

Last night was the final night of St. Joseph’s, the final night to gather to celebrate the amazing six weeks that ends with putting the saints to bed for another year. Of course there is still a small altar where candles are lit and prayers are offered all year.

The Novena girls are an extraordinary group of women where ideas and dreams lead to trust, connection, love, friendship, faith and amazing productivity working all together. Teamwork really does make the dream work!

A salute to the team with love!

Happy St. Joseph’s Day!

St. Joseph’s Novena is a nine day prayer, a way if praying with perseverance, modeled after the nine day period the apostles prayer before Pentecost. This year the Altar at the Mohan’ s was dedicated to Adoring Mother, Mary, mother of our Lord and all of the children everywhere.

Please grant the prayers of all those who faithfully prayed this novena. Bless the with your Love.

Cape Ann Chamber Ribbon Cutting @ Wellspring Awesome Closet!

Last night the Cape Ann Chamber Of Commerce was very proud to cut the ribbon for the Wellspring Awesome Closet.

In January 2018 the Awesome Foundation awarded Wellspring the 52nd $1000 no strings attached micro grant to create the Awesome Closet. A underutilized space at Wellspring became that “shoppe”. It provides a boutique shopping experience for their clients. The grant was used to buy racks and fixtures for the room. H. Herbert Goodick, Inc installed the rack and painted. Glover Floor Covering, Inc donated and installed the carpet. The Cape Ann Chamber Of Commerce and their Business Women’s Mixer at the Crows Nest last month helped to stock the closet with tons of awesome donations. J. Jill Compassion Fund will continue to support the effort long term.

The racks are organized by size, program participates can make an appointment and shop for FREE. Volunteers are available to act as personal shoppers and help them choose outfits. Donations of business atire for both women and men are always welcome.

Happy International Women’s Day – Women empowering women!!!

Senior Care – March for Meals

March for Meals brings awareness of the meals on wheels program, recruits volunteer drivers and gets the message out that we are more than a meal. We serve nine communities on the North Shore from Rockport to Topsfield, delivering over 130,000 meals last year, over 500 per day. 32,000 to Gloucester seniors each year, 100 per day.

During the month of March we invite local public officials, Rotary members, Chamber of Commerce members and local celebrities to help us deliver meals. Mayor Sefatia Romeo-Theken, Senator Bruce Tart and Senator Brad Hill have done it every year. This year both Ken Riehl and Kerry McKenna of the Cape Ann Chamber have committed to a day. If you would like to spend a few hour one day in March spreading some senior love and getting a lot of love back please call Senior Care.

The Spring Senior Care Breakfast is Friday, March 16 at the Gloucester House. The Linquata Family has hosted this event for 44 years. The cost is $12.00 per person. Placement sponsorships are available, call Senior Care.
