SEASIDE VINTAGE MARKET at Second Glance, June 2 & 3!
Mid-century vintage finds, Boho Chic, food and music come to Second Glance, the thrift store of The Open Door during its first annual Seaside Vintage Market on June 2 (9 a.m. -7 p.m.) and June 3 (11 a.m. – 5 p.m.) at 2 Pond Road, Gloucester.
For more than a year, volunteers and staff have been saving vintage treasures to transform the thrift store in to a once-in-a-year vintage extravaganza. Overnight, shelves will be cleared, reorganized, and those special treasures dusted and displayed for the weekend revelry.
Last year, Second Glance headed out of town to a vintage fair in Maine. It was so successful, they decided to stay put this year, and bring the vintage buzz to Cape Ann.

Thursday will be one month since Alfred Ina passed away, leaving a terrible void in the Ina family. Al grew up in Magnolia and was a 1955 graduate of Gloucester High School. He attended Miami University and began his career as a hair stylist in New York City, eventually opening a shop in Magnolia next to his mother’s elegant boutique, Ina’s of Magnolia on Lexington Avenue. Al enjoyed his clients from all over Cape Ann. He eventually retired to West Palm Beach until moving to Columbus, Ohio last year to be near family.
Through the lens of Ayurveda, our heart is the launching pad of all body/physical and mind/mental sensations. Our thoughts stimulate a physical emotional response releasing bodily chemicals and hormones into our bloodstream. Our body sends signals back to the mind, which responds. Update: I had it wrong. It’s the female house finch in the video. There’s a Cowbird egg in the nest along with the Hose Finch eggs in the nest that the House Finch built. According to Dr. @kimsmithdesigns and Robert Paterson Brown Headed Cowbirds =No Bueno. If I understand them correctly Cowbirds lay their eggs in the nests of other birds and disrupt the feeding of those birds when they hatch. . @kfoley41 Look! I Got A Video!
