HOW THIS ONLINE CHAPTER BOOK WORKS

Just like magazine serials of the 1950s, two illustrated chapters will appear every Wednesday on Elinor’s website, from August 14 until October 23, 2019. Families can enjoy each chapter in a digital form or download it as a PDF for printing.

You’ve heard of a food truck, but what about a food boat? On Thursday August 22nd, from 3:00 to 6:30, the Cape Ann Farmers Market (CAFM) at Stage Fort Park will host Eating with the Ecosystem’s 19-foot ‘food boat’ for a fun, educational, and delicious interactive seafood event. The food boat is part of Eating with the Ecosystem’s Scales & Tales program, which blends food experiences with education to promote a place-based approach to sustaining New England’s wild seafood. Featuring the culinary skills of Chef Aaron Budak from Tonno, the boat will provide cooking demos showcasing a local seafood species. As market patrons enjoy free samples of the delicious dishes created, they will have the opportunity to ask questions as well as be informed on how to help support local fishing communities. Copies of Eating with the Ecosystem’s recently released eco-cookbook Simmering the Sea: Diversifying Cookery to Sustain Our Fisheries will be available for purchase ($20).
