Fall Cleanse ~

Ayurveda Wellness Healing, LLC's avatarCape Ann Wellness

Fall allergies = Fall cleanse…

From an Ayurvedic point of view allergens such as pollen, dust, dander, hay fever etc trigger symptoms in susceptible people, they are not the main cause but instead the accumulation of ama (toxins).

Ama is the sticky, toxic residue that comes from a less-than-ideal diet coupled with inadequate digestion.

Every allergy sufferer is different and a qualified Ayurveda Practitioner will tailor treatment to address the whole person. Ayurveda Wellness Healing is offering a three (3) day reset Fall cleanse – you do not need to meet with us in person to partake in the cleanse. Message us or email us: info@ayurvedawellnesshealing.com for more info.

Charles Newman Paints At The Dock For The Cape Ann Plein Air Event In Town This Week

About Charles Newman: https://charlesnewmanarts.com/home.html

I am an experiential artist. I seek to capture an experience or sensation in my artwork, so that the painting is felt. Painting on site, en plein air (outdoors), I strive to understand the effects of light and the moods and emotions it evokes from my surroundings. Many of my works are done alla prima, which means wet into wet, mostly completed in one session in order to achieve a fresh and harmonious representation of light.

The subject matter of my paintings ranges from overlooked industrial neighborhoods to the privacy of the home. Whether painting a landscape, an interior, or a still life, I strive to express the integrity of my personal touch, as I bear witness to the moment and changing conditions of my surroundings. Translating these elements onto the surface makes the painting process both challenging and exciting.

About Cape Ann Plein Air 2019: https://capeannpleinair.com/

Cape Ann Plein Air’s (CAPA) mission is to preserve and promote Cape Ann’s legacy as the birthplace of American Plein Air painting, and enhance our local economy. This is made possible through the close collaboration of committed supporters from across the region —  businesses, regional arts and cultural organizations, and the Cape Ann communities of Gloucester, Rockport, Essex and Manchester-by-the Sea — working with CAPA organizers to offer a robust, weeklong program of painting competitions, exhibitions and education.

Ales over ALS

IMG_3895 (1).JPG

We once again invite you to attend the 8th annual Ales Over ALS: A Crafter’s Delight that will be celebrated in scenic Essex at the Shipbuilding Museum where the town and museum both take full pride in all things locally crafted from farm, sea and brew kettle. All proceeds from this fundraising event will go directly to Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS), in support of people living with ALS.The afternoon will be highlighted by a homebrewing competition set in the historic museum. The event will feature hand-crafted beers from home brewers that will be judged by special guests as well as by fundraiser attendees.

The beer that wins the judges’ competition will be brewed on the pilot system and served in the taproom or our premier sponsor the brand new Great Marsh Brewing Company on the Essex causeway. All proceeds from the sale of the winning beer will be donated to support CCALS.

Tickets can be purchased at http://ccals.org/ales.

Food will once again be provided by:
Woodman’s of Essex
Kate’s Table (Best of Boston top caterer for 2019)
Iggy’s Bread

Brewing Sponsors:
Great Marsh Brewing Company, Essex, MA

We once again would not be able to host the event without the generous participation of the North Shore Brewers.

The scenery of fall on the Essex river in the setting of the Essex Shipbuilding Museum is highlighted by our seven-year sponsor Aster B. Flowers of Essex, MA. Your support helps make the event both rustic and beautiful.

Online tickets are on sale until Friday, October 25th at midnight. Advance ticket purchase is highly encouraged.

The event is once again on the same day as the Essex Clamfest. Parking at the center of town will be limited until 3-4pm. Ales over ALS supporters are welcome to park down the street at Woodman’s of Essex. Please be aware that we will keep the spots near the museum reserved for handicapped attendees.

We can’t wait to see you and once again thank you for your generous support.
