Like much of our lives right now, toy drives and “holiday stores” will need to look different this year. With current restrictions preventing us from opening our doors and welcoming parents in to select gifts as they have in the past, Action Inc., Pathways for Children, & Wellspring House, Inc.  are collaborating to make sure that all Cape Ann children are still able to enjoy a magical holiday!

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

With so many families struggling with lost wages, lack of childcare, and financial instability, we know the need in our community will be greater than ever this year. Donation to the Cape Ann Kids Holiday Fund will allow us to provide gift cards for hundreds of families in need. Gift cards will offer families the safest, most flexible option to provide that special gift for their children.

To ensure families have time to shop locally or online, cards will be given out the first week of December. We will be accepting cash donations towards the Cape Ann Kids Holiday Fund through December 1st. To make a gift, just click the button below. Don’t let yourself become a meme.

I entered all of my weight and normal activity level and it had calculated that I’d lose a pound a week when I started. I started with the app September 23 and my goal was to lose 10 lbs. I actually lost 2 lbs a week and here I am at week five 10 pounds lighter. Ten pounds is the equivalent of a large watermelon. Can you imagine? Just by logging my meals it has helped keep me on track and not eating out of boredom!

This app is free and it is a real eye opener as far as what I could potentially blow a ton of calories eating when I could be eating lots of other things throughout the day.

It links with smartwatches, cell phones and it has a ridiculous amount of food options when you go to enter what you’re eating.

I’ve lost 5 pounds thanks to the accountability and awareness of the foods I’m putting into my body. For me, snacking out of boredom is my number one weight gain fail. Using this app it keeps me on track!

i also really like how you can just scan barcodes on the food you’re eating and it does all the calculations for you. Sooooo easy.
