Tour de Greenbelt – Cycle for Land Conservation! 100/50/40/25-Mile Routes, September 18, 2021

Essex, MA:  For beginner riders to seasoned cyclists, Essex County Greenbelt’s annual Tour de Greenbelt – Cycle for Land Conservation offers a variety of courses to fit all abilities. The ride benefits Greenbelt’s local land conservation work, and cyclists will enjoy routes that wind through the scenic landscapes of Essex County.

Tour de Greenbelt offers four untimed routes, so cyclists can ride at their own pace: a century (100 miles) road ride, a half-century (50 miles) road ride, a shorter (25 miles) road ride, and a 40-mile Gravel Grinder that is suitable for cyclists with the proper bike, with off-road excursions into protected forests and reservations. Cyclists will pass more than 50 properties conserved by Greenbelt.

The event starts at Greenbelt’s beautiful Cox Reservation at 82 Eastern Avenue in Essex on September 18 at 9 am.  Post-ride festivities, including food and music under a tent, are also at Cox Reservation.

Riders can find details, pre-register and order a Tour de Greenbelt bike jersey at www.tourdegreenbelt.org . Registration will also be open the morning of the event starting at 7:30am.

Many thanks to Tour de Greenbelt Title Sponsor Institution for Savings!

Know What You Want

When it comes time to buy a new home, you have to know what you want. For these homeowners, they knew they wanted to stay in the same neighborhood, on the same road if possible. And equally important, they knew what they didn’t want.
