Current Nia Routine: Motown

Come join us as we revisit a routine celebrating the great music of Motown.  You will sing along and groove to the tunes like Superstition, Baby Love, and more.

Moving to Heal NEW TIME Thursdays at 1:30 PM

Moving to Heal Nia is a slower, less intensive class with less standing and more done in the chair. Great for people with injuries or conditions that make it hard to participate in a classic Nia class. Also good for people getting back into exercise. For more info on Moving to Heal, see the info and videos on my web site or click here

Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute Wins MassEcon Impact Award

Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute of Gloucester – Launched in 2013, the Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute (GMGI) addresses critical challenges facing our oceans, human health and the environment through innovative scientific research and education. By bringing world-class science and transformative workforce development to Gloucester’s historic waterfront, GMGI is catalyzing the regional economy. GMGI has an entirely-female leadership team in their Board Chair, Executive Director and Science Director. In 2020, GMGI created an active and empowered DEI Committee, and has remained committed to bringing awareness to the organization. Since its founding, GMGI has enjoyed strong state, local and philanthropic support and recently invested $1.546 million in a 3,200 SF expansion of its Gloucester Biotechnology Academy, completed in June 2021. Through the cutting-edge Academy program, GMGI prepares career-compromised young adults in the growing biomanufacturing, life sciences and biotechnology fields, filling a critical workforce gap in the Commonwealth. The recent expansion enables GMGI to grow the annual cohort from 20 to 40 students per year, and required the addition of several new staff members.
