Never raced before?  Been out of it for a while?  
Come down tomorrow night and jump in to some fun races with veterans from the IDRC.  The format will be names pulled out of a hat to match up 2 boat heats from the town landing out to the ice house around flags and back.  Just a fun row with your friends from the IDRC and a chance to get out on the water before the weather changes to Fall.

Join the Sawyer Free Library for a fun LEGO-filled community event THIS Saturday, September 16, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at 20 Main Street in downtown Gloucester, right across from the Sawyer Free Library temporary location. 

Build your own library-inspired LEGO creation with the help of a certified LEGO Master from the LEGO Discovery Center Boston. Check out the specially commissioned LEGO model replica of the 2025 Sawyer Free Library. Have fun creating with LEGOs along with face painting, prizes, music, and more! 

All are invited to this FREE community celebration of the 2025 Sawyer Free Library’s upcoming community groundbreaking which is taking place on Friday, September 29th!

Celebrate Adventure!  97th Anniversary Sail

Adventure turns 97 on Saturday,  September 16. To commemorate her historic launching from the shipyard in Essex on the same date in 1926 we invite everyone to come on this sail and celebrate in style with us. 

Enjoy musical entertainment by well-known folk artists Larry Young and John Roberts. Feast on Jeff’s Variety lobster rolls and other goodies including birthday cupcakes from Cake Ann. Festive beverages included. A cannon salute in honor of the Gloucester 400+ and the Taste of Cape Ann Raffle drawing will round out the fun! Don’t miss the boat, help us finish out the season with a bang!
