Sawyer Free Library is kicking off summer reading on Tuesday, July 9 from 10:00 to 10:45am with fascinating animals presented by Wildlife Encounters Ecology Center!  This family friendly event will be held in the City Hall auditorium, 9 Dale Avenue. No registration required.

During this interactive live animal presentation attendees will meet exotic animals and learn about their habitats, adaptations, and environmental roles from eco-educators. The ecology focused summer reading theme of “Read, Renew, Repeat” strives to bring attention to our natural world, and caring for the environment as well as the living creatures that call it home.

A request from the Harbormaster’s office:

Please put these stickers on your small boats ( kayaks, dinghies, skiffs etc…) when these boat get loose and get found adrift it triggers a mandatory search for missing persons. Your name and phone number on the sticker could save everyone a lot of time, and could get you your boat back. The stickers are free at the harbormasters office. “

Brandon is best known as the lead singer of the local band, Kicked Off The Bus. Two Devils includes guest performances by KOTB’s guitarist, Sam Pallazolla, and local teen singer, Lila Barry. The Wannabe Teenagers is comprised of local musicians, Trevor Blank, Philip Corey, Joel Favazza, and Christian Palmisano. Two Devils was recorded by Warren Babson at Bang-A-Song Studios, in downtown Gloucester.
