Once again, I will be doing Santa portraits at the East Gloucester School holiday fair.  The fair is this Saturday, December 5th, from 10:00a to 2:00p.

The lines are short, and we print the photos while you wait.  A variety of packages are available for $10 per sheet.  You can also buy a high-resolution JPEG image for use as a holiday card.

Bring your family, bring your pets, and bring your crying babies!

If You Store Firewood-I’m A 100% Endorser Of The Firewood Rack We Use

ShelterLogic Lumber Rack Firewood Adjustable Bracket Kit

Here’s mine assembled. Took all of 45 seconds.

20151201_193456-01.jpeg

You can get it on Amazon for $43.54 and when I tell you it couldn’t be more secure or easier to put together, I’m telling you it couldn’t be more secure or easier to put together.

Literally you measure the space for where you want to stack your wood, go to the Building center and have them cut two 2x4s and slide the 2x4s into the collars at the base of the rack. Listen, I’m a complete dope when it comes to DIY projects.  On a scale from 1-10 on completely useless with a tool I’m a 3.  This a grandmother could do with ease.

It looks nice and you can store a ton of wood inside instead of having to go out into the snow and unbury your wet damp firewood.  It is made for indoor or outdoor use and gets a 4.5 star rating on amazon. Read the reviews here  Here’s the link to the listing on Amazon-

FAQs

Q: What kind of knot do you use for the bracelets?
A: It is a Carrick Bend knot that I tie with double strands of line. Beyond its great functionality for securely joining two lines, the knot also has some cool history. The knots pattern is seen in relief in the Elizabethan era plasterwork of Ormonde Castle in Carrick-on-Suir, so clearly I am not (no pun intended) the first one to recognize its beauty.

Q: What are your clasps made from?
A: I have literally searched the world to find the highest quality clasps available. Both of these unique magnetic clasps are very well made, and free of lead and zinc. Both are durable stainless steel with silver and brass plating.

Q: What if I want a color or color combination that isn’t listed on the site?
A: I would love to make it for you! Right now I have over 30 different colors of cord. As you can imagine, that makes it really hard to list all the possible combinations! If you send me an email – kim@shoreknots.com – and describe what you want, I’ll put it together. If you don’t like it, we’ll keep trying until you do.

Q: What if I order a bracelet and it doesn’t fit?
A: Just send it back and we will get you one that fits.

Q: Can I wear my bracelet in the water?
A: It’s fine to wear your bracelet in the water, but we recommend moderation. Long term exposure to salt water may eventually cause some minor color fading of the cord and possible erosion on the clasp.

Q: How can I keep my clasp shiny?
A: Natural wear and regular contact with your skin can cause some minor tarnish to the clasp. Jewelry polishes work great, but can be expensive. I’ll let you in on a little secret that is probably already in your house = toothpaste. Yep, just rub some toothpaste on the clasp, rinse it off, and your clasp will be as good as new!

Q: Do you guarantee your products?
A: Absolutely! We want our customers to be 100% satisfied! If you have any problems, let us know and we will make things right. As LL Bean has said for years, “there are two rules to customer service: 1 – the customer is always right, and 2 – if the customer is wrong, go back to rule number 1!”

Q: Do you have other products?
A: Not yet, but some are coming soon. I have lots of ideas and look forward to adding them to the website soon.

Q: Is Brewster a good dog?
A: He’s the best! A bit of a goof, but I sure love him!

SometimesThe Best Things To Grill Are The Easiest Things To Grill- Grilled Garlic

More From Joey’s Pit-
http://www.northeastbbq.com

Joey Ciaramitaro's avatarNortheast BBQ

I’m not inventing this, people all over the place do it. This is just a gentle reminder of how stupid easy it is to do and how great the results are.
You chop off the top part of a head of garlic. Pour on some EVOO. Grind some Atlantic Saltworks Flake Salt on there and grind in a little pepper too if you’d like. Wrap in foil. Place indirect on opposite side of grill from the coals. Let it rip for about an hour or when you see the heads are browned up a bit and the garlic head is soft when you squeeze it.
I suggest you get a loaf of your favorite bread and smear that shit all up on there and you’ll swear you died and went to heaven.

Hello Folks,

She simply didn’t believe me. There was no way that there could be carrots growing in her school garden because all she could see was a bunch of green leaves. But this little kindergartener from Veterans School had the surprise of her life when she reached down, scraped at the soil surface and found some orange! In the next moment she was yanking a carrot out of the ground along with her classmates and holding it up in the air with the biggest smile.

Please join us this year by donating to our end-of-year campaign in conjunction with Giving Tuesday, which is TODAY!

Why Backyard Growers this season? School, community, and backyard gardens yield delicious veggies, increase access to nature, provide learning opportunities, and improve children’s health — But more than that, gardens grow community and a powerful source of self-reliance.

This Giving Tuesday, help Backyard Growers strengthen our work serving Gloucester’s families and children. When you give today the first $2,250 we receive will be matched by three of our generous donors. This match represents a year’s worth of garden supplies for our district-wide Salad Days and Fall Harvest Days programs in Gloucester’s elementary schools. Double your impact and help us meet our match! Our partner, The Giving Common, will cover credit card fees so that 100% of your donation goes to Backyard Growers.

Please click here to make your donation.

Thank you!

And Here’s the Drone Video of The #GloucesterMA #RightWhale From Martin Del Vecchio

On November 29, 2015, a rare North Atlantic right whale visited Bass Rocks, along the coast of Gloucester, MA. It spent about an hour and a half swimming very close to the shore, spy-hopping, rolling in the waves, and generally appearing to enjoy itself.

North Atlantic right whales are extremely rare and are critically endangered, with approximately 400 animals remaining. The New England Aquarium catalogs all known whales and sightings at http://rwcatalog.neaq.org/, and in an email said:

“The folks at the Aquarium concur that this is a young whale. They believe it might be one of the calves that was born in the winter of 2014, so about 2 years old. Hopefully they’ll be able to confirm that once they get all available images/footage. If that’s the case, then that makes this an even more valuable sighting. Survival rate for calves and juveniles during the first couple of years is somewhat low, so when we can confirm that a calf has survived we all get pretty psyched. ”

You can read more about North Atlantic right whales here:

http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov/pr/species/mammals/whales/north-atlantic-right-whale.html

Filmed with a DJI Inspire 1 Pro drone, a Zenmuse X5 camera, and the Olympus M.Zuiko 12mm lens.

Absolute savage pee move right here.  What guy pulls his pants down over his butt to take a leak? Zippers buddy, ever hear of them?

One more inch down and I’d consider this nudity.  As it is the bottom of his big ol ass is covered so I guess it’s just a monster butt crack shot.

there’s plumbers butt and now a whole new category- lobsterman’s butt.

Martin Del Vecchio Right Whale On The Back Shore #GloucesterMA Photos

Martin Submits-

This whale was swimming along the Back Shore for a couple of hours this morning.  I got some video footage with my drone, which I will post in the next day or two.

But here are a couple of frames that make it look like a North Atlantic right whale.  if it is, it’s one of only 400 left on earth.

Pretty freakin’ awesome.
