January 16, TBT Post Owner Denys Rumors Of A Store Closing In Statement To GMG. ย January 29 The Joint Is Cleaned Out

January 16th statement –

Taking care of a false rumor

Hello my friends and Gloucester business partners,
I just had another visitor (Fellow Shop Owner of Main Street) who was concerned because they had heard TBT Post was leaving.
That rumor is 100% false.
We love Gloucester and our customers & friends we have made here.
We have expanded our office space in the back of the TBT Post Main Street Store as well.
TB Post has also added a sectional couch in the store for customer convenience, a new service desk and dozens of new tables to enhance the store for our customers. TBT Post is currently shopping for a kids table that will allow children to color in an Alpaca pictures while mom and dad shop. More to come on that shortly once we have the prizes for the kids ready too.
We do continue to have more than one store with the opening of TBT Post Beverly and our MAB Corporate address continues to be 33 Main Street Gloucester as it has been since we opened here 3 years ago this spring.

If you should here this rumor please squash it and thank you.

We love you Gloucester!!!!

It all starts with sleepโ€ฆ

Ayurveda Wellness Healing, LLCknows the importance of sleep as our bodies metabolize waste products mostly after 10pm. Through the lens of Ayurveda the immune system needs to revitalize itself between 11:00pm and 2:00am.

Studies have shown that when you are sleep deprived there is a disruption with the connection from our brain to our stomach. This adds to making you think you are hungry and contributes to reaching for unhealthy high fat foods.
Ayurveda describes sleep as the โ€œdiet of the mindโ€.

If you are not in bed before 10pm โ€“ start this weekend by backing up your bedtime until you reach 10pm or earlier. Depending on when your normal bedtime hour is this could take a few days to a week. Something so small but worth so much to your overall wellbeing.

Cape Ann License Plates Have Arrived

The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce has BIG news โ€“ Cape Annโ€™s special license plate has arrived at Registry branch offices and are ready to be picked up and put on the road.  The nearly 950 area drivers who pre-applied for the new special plates are now receiving calls and letters with instructions as to where to exchange their current plates and pick up their new Cape Ann license plates.

Those who did not pre-apply but would like to obtain their own Cape Ann license plates can do so online at https://secure.rmv.state.ma.us/SpecialPlates/pltShow.aspx?Plate=027.

โ€œWe are very grateful to Senator Bruce Tarr, and Representatives Ann-Margaret Ferrante and Brad Hill for their leadership in enacting key amendments to the Special Plate law,โ€ said Ken Riehl, CEO of the Cape Ann Chamber

โ€œThe Cape Ann license plate is not only a tremendous way to strengthen and promote our regional identity, but it will also generate funds that will be involved in our future.  Like many such plates, it faced a major obstacle in getting enough pre-subscriptions for approval,โ€ said Senate Minority Leader Bruce Tarr (R- Gloucester).  โ€œNow, we have legislatively removed that obstacle, and the plate can go to work for our communities.โ€

โ€œThe Cape Ann license plate will be one more in a growing list of ways we increase our visibility and sense of community,โ€ State Representative Ann-Margaret Ferrante (D-Gloucester) said in a statement on Thursday. โ€œThe more people know about the uniqueness of Cape Ann, the more our small businesses and our Cape thrive as new visitors and potential residents explore our main streets.โ€  State Representative Brad Hill (R-Ipswich) added: “The implementation of these Cape Ann license plates is a wonderful way to celebrate both our communities and our identities. Not only do they promote the character of our area as a whole, but they will also allow for further improvement of our Cape Ann communities.”

For those who have not yet signed up, now is the time: โ€œProceeds from the Cape Ann license plates will go back to the Cape Ann community towards promotion of the region, economic development, and education / training. The funds will be managed by a new 501c3 non-profit called the Cape Ann Community Foundation (CACF), whose Board of Directors consists of residents from all four Cape Ann Communities. โ€ noted Sara Young, President of the Chamberโ€™s Board of Directors.

For more information, please contact the Cape Ann Chamber at (978) 283-1601, email them at info@capeannchamber.com, and / or go to the Cape Ann License Plate website: www.lovecapeann.com.

WE DID IT!

YOUR CAPE, YOUR PLATE…

THE NEW CAPE ANN LICENSE PLATE IS HERE!

We are thrilled to announce that Massachusetts’ newest special plate, the Cape Ann License Plate, is now here!

Thanks to all of you who have supported this worthy endeavor. In addition to showing your love of Cape Ann every day, the $40 special plate fee (payable every other year with your registration renewal) is a charitable donation that will be directed to the Cape Ann Community Foundation and used to support regional promotion, economic development and education for Cape Ann.

We are so excited to know that these fabulous plates are now on the road!
